摘要: In a droplet ejecting apparatus, a detection pattern output unit drives a droplet ejecting head based on a pulse signal and image information of a detection pattern comprising plural unit patterns so as to form an image of the detection pattern on a recording medium. A correction information generating unit derives a distance between adjacent unit patterns based on the image of a read detection pattern, compares the distance with a distance according to the conveyance velocity of the recording medium by a moving unit, and generates correction information so as to enlarge the pulse width when the derived distance is shorter, and to reduce the pulse width when the derived distance is longer.

摘要: An ink jet injection system performs detecting an ink injection condition by ejecting ink droplets so as to form a detecting pattern on a recording medium. When the detecting pattern is formed, the ink droplets are ejected at almost the same position in the state in which the transportation of the recording medium is stopped or a feeding speed of the recording medium is set slower than that during a normal printing operation.

摘要: In an image recording apparatus, reference patterns are provided on a surface of a transport belt that transports a recording medium such as paper attracted thereto to image recording sections defined by recording heads. It is arranged such that the reference patterns are detected while being transported as the transport belt is driven, and a speed change of the transport belt and a position shift in a direction perpendicular to the transporting direction of the transport belt are calculated based on information resulting from the detection, thereby controlling ejection timing and ejection position of ink droplets ejected from the recording heads.

摘要: A liquid droplet ejection apparatus comprising: a conveyor portion that conveys a recording medium to a liquid droplet ejection region by the rotational force of a drive roll; liquid droplet ejection heads that eject liquid droplets onto the recording medium conveyed to the liquid droplet ejection region by the conveyor portion; a feed portion that feeds the recording medium to the conveyor portion at a predetermined feed timing; a detection portion that detects a rotational position of the drive roll; and a control portion that controls the feed timing of the feed portion based on the rotational position that the detection portion has detected, so that when the drive roll reaches a predetermined rotational position, the control portion causes the recording medium to be conveyed to the liquid droplet ejection region and causes the liquid droplet ejection heads to start ejecting the liquid droplets onto the recording medium, is provided.

摘要: A serial printer has a moving unit for relatively moving a printing unit and a printing medium in two directions orthogonal to each other, and a detecting unit for detecting a trailing edge of the printing medium. The printing unit and the printing medium are relatively moved in a fast scan direction to print on the printing medium print data of a printing width of the printing unit. The printing unit and the printing medium are then relatively moved in a slow scan direction by a fixed distance corresponding to the printing width of the printing unit. The printing operation is then repeated. The number of nonprint lines for a final printing width is calculated by the serial printer based on a position of the trailing edge of the printing medium detected by the detecting unit. The print data of the final printing width is printed so that print data corresponding to the number of nonprint lines is absent.

摘要: A movement distance monitoring pulse counter counts drive pulses being applied to a carriage-moving pulse motor, and produces a count value M. An optical sensor attached to a head carriage detects slits of a slit encoder passed by the head carriage. A slit counter counts output pulses of the optical sensor, and produces a reset signal every time the count reaches a preset number of output pulses corresponding to a monitoring carriage movement distance. The count value M is reset in response to the reset signal. When the count value M exceeds a preset number of drive pulses corresponding to the monitoring carriage movement distance, an abnormality detection signal is produced.

摘要: The present invention provides a droplet ejection device that includes a head, a storage component and an alteration component. At the head, a plurality of nozzles, which eject droplets in accordance with image data representing an image, are arrayed over a width in a main scanning direction which is longer than a recording region width. The head forms a main scanning line with the droplets ejected from the nozzles. At the storage component, inclination information relating to an inclination of the main scanning line formed by the head with respect to a main scanning line that should ideally be formed is pre-stored. The alteration component, in accordance with the inclination information stored at the storage component, alters which nozzles are to eject droplets in accordance with the image data.
