摘要: A cartridge having an ejection head for ejecting medicine and a reservoir as integral parts thereof is provided with an electric connection section on a lower surface of a junction forming section thereof to be brought into contact with an inhaler body. As the cartridge is put into the inhaler body and secured to the latter by means of a cartridge fixing member, the electric connection section of the cartridge is brought into contact with an electric connection section arranged on a top surface of a cartridge mounting section of the inhaler body to establish electric connection between the cartridge and the inhaler body.

摘要: A discharge head 10 for discharging droplets from discharge ports can withstand high water pressure and is provided with a first orifice plate 3 having first discharge ports 3a and a second orifice plate 6 having second discharge ports. The first orifice plate 3 and the second orifice plate 6 are separated from each other in the liquid discharge direction of the discharge head 10 and disposed opposite to each other. The diameter of the discharge ports of the second orifice plate 6 is smaller than the diameter of the discharge ports 3a of the first orifice plate 3 so that very fine droplets 9 are discharged from the discharge head 10 as the liquid discharged from the discharge ports 3a of the first orifice plate 3 is split by the second discharge ports.

摘要: An inhaler includes an inhaler body having an ejection head and an airflow duct forming member for forming an airflow duct on the inhaler body. In an inhalation standby status, the airflow duct forming member is driven to slide so as to be placed at rest on the inhaler body to partly cover the top part of the latter by means of a slide mechanism and make the airflow duct disappear. At this time, the top wall of the airflow duct forming member covers the ejection head to shield it from external air. In an inhalation status, the airflow duct forming member is driven to slide up and produce an airflow duct on the inhaler body. Thus, a compact inhaler that can be switched from an inhalation status to an inhalation standby status and vice versa with ease is realized.

摘要: A liquid ejection head to be used for an inhaler ejecting a liquid and making a user inhale the liquid includes: an ejection element having a liquid feeding opening, electrothermal transducer rows that are arrayed on both sides thereof respectively so as to sandwich the liquid feeding opening and are formed of a plurality of electrothermal transducers, and ejection nozzles for ejecting the liquid being provided on parts opposing to the electrothermal transducers respectively; and an external connecting terminal member for applying an electrical signal to the plurality of the electrothermal transducers, wherein, the external connecting terminal member is arranged so that a width direction in one end of its longitudinal direction matches with a direction of the electrothermal transducer rows and has a region for external connecting terminal on the other end of the longitudinal direction.

摘要: A liquid ejection device, includes: a plurality of storing parts for storing liquids; a plurality of liquid-feeding parts connected to the respective storing parts; a ejection part for ejecting a liquid; a plurality of flow paths connected to the plurality of liquid-feeding parts, respectively; and a connection part for joining the plurality of flow paths and connecting them as a single flow path to the ejection part. The plurality of liquid-feeding parts are actuated to mix the liquids from the plurality of storing parts in the single flow path joined at the connection part and feed a mixture of the liquids to the ejection part to eject the mixture from the ejection part. According to the ejection device of the present invention, the ejection amount or the mixing ratio can be easily changed in a comparatively precise manner.

摘要: An inhaler includes a medicine cartridge having at least an ejection head and a first electrical connection section for supplying the ejection head with electric power necessary for ejecting medicine, an inhaler body having a medicine cartridge mounting section and an inhalation piece. The inhaler is so constructed that an electric circuit for supplying the ejection head with electric power necessary for ejecting medicine by way of the first electrical connection section is made operable by mounting and rigidly securing the inhalation piece onto the inhaler body. The inhaler can be operated by a user with ease and the ejection head is reliably electrically energized only when the inhaler is operated.

摘要: A user inhales medicine ejected from the medicine ejecting section of an inhaler into the air flow duct of an air flow duct forming member through a hole. As the air flow duct forming member is taken off from the inhaler body, the medicine ejecting section is covered by a cap for protection. As the air flow duct forming member is fitted to the inhaler body, the cap is opened and a sensor recognizes the open state of the cap so that the air flow duct forming member is prohibited from being fitted to and taken off from the inhaler body by a claw that is secured to the air flow duct forming member. In this way, the medicine ejecting section is prevented from being damaged when the air flow duct is fitted to and taken away from the inhaler.
