摘要: A fetching operation break unit breaks a fetching operation of a block data from a main memory, when a system bus is released during the fetching of the block data and also when data written due to a write access by an external device into the main memory coincides with the fetching of one block data. Further, a notification means notifies the state of the fetching operation to an external cache memory. Therefore, the external cache memory can confirm whether a block-in operation of the microprocessor is broken or not, and the contents of the external cache can correctly coincide with the contents of the internal cache and the main memory by carrying out a steal operation, so that the operational reliability of a computer system can be increased.

摘要: A block access system using a cache memory comprises a first control circuit for producing a block access request for requesting read-out of all data included in a block of a predetermined size in response to an access request from an operation unit and inputting the data read out from a main memory unit into a cache memory, and a second control circuit for reading out data from the main memory unit and sending back to the first control circuit a response signal which indicates any one of execution and cancellation of the requested block access in response to the block access request from the first control means. Memory addresses necessary for reading out all the data in one block are produced by the first control circuit when the block access request is cancelled. Alternatively, memory addresses are supplied by the second control circuit when the block access request is executed.

摘要: To improve positioning accuracy in a direction of relative movement of dots which are formed by a fluid ejection device in which a plurality of nozzle groups contained in the direction of the relative movement of the head section contain a plurality of nozzles in the direction of the relative movement, an ejection timing is set for adjusting in a direction of the relative movement the positions of dots formed by each of nozzle groups. A distribution of adjustment pixels is set for adjusting in the direction of the relative movement the positions of dots formed by each of nozzles. A fluid is ejected in accordance with raster data generated on the basis of a distribution of the adjustment pixels set by an adjustment pixel setting unit, on the basis of ejection timing set by a nozzle group timing setting unit.

摘要: Providing a PM emission amount estimation device for the diesel engine wherein the accuracy of the correction in correcting the basic level of the PM emission amount by use of the PM emission amount estimation map can be enhanced; and, the PM emission amount particularly during the transient state of the engine operation condition can be accurately computed so as to estimate, with high precision, the PM emission amount and the PM emission accumulated-amount (integrated amount) during the whole engine operation conditions including the transient state as well as the steady state. A PM emission amount estimation device for estimating the amount of the PM for estimating the amount of the PM that is emitted from a diesel engine and collected by a DPF provided in the exhaust gas passage of the engine, the device including, but not limited to: a PM emission amount estimation base-map 3 with which the base PM emission amount is computed in response to the operation condition of the engine; a PM emission amount estimation correction-map 5 that determines a correction factor for correcting the base PM emission amount computed by the PM emission amount estimation base-map 3, the correction factor being determined in response to the transient engine operation condition; a transient state judgment device 7 that judges that the engine is operated in a transient operation condition based on the change of the air excess ratio regarding the engine; a PM emission amount computation device 9 that corrects the computed base PM emission amount by multiplying the computed base PM emission amount by the correction factor computed with the PM emission amount estimation correction-map 5 only in a case where it is judged, by the transient state judgment device 7, that the engine is in a transient operation condition whereas the base PM emission amount is directly outputted in a case where it is judged that the engine is in a steady operation condition.

摘要: A method is disclosed for individually tailoring the administration of dietary components such as supplements. In the method, whole blood of a mammal is exposed to a dietary component. The level of a marker mRNA linked to a disease state is measured in leukocytes after exposure to the dietary component, and in some cases after further stimulation of the exposed blood cells. By comparing the mRNA level after exposure with the value found in unexposed blood cells, it is possible to determine what the effect of the dietary component will be in the mammal. By screening blood of the mammal against a number of possible dietary components, it is possible to develop an optimized set of dietary components tailored to the specific mammal to treat or prevent a disease state.
