    摘要: In order to enable an expansion of a packet switched network and a constitution change thereof to be readily achieved in a multistage switched network constitution, in a packet switched network including a packet data terminal, a packet switching equipment, a PBX, a multiplexer, an LAN, a voice communication apparatus such as a telephone set, and a facsimile or in a linkage between switching modules in a packet switching apparatus, the basic switching modules called configuration units connected to the network are interconnected to each other to form a hierarchic tree structure of which the number of hierarchic levels can be selected depending on a size of the packet switched network. Furthermore, in order to increase the reliability of the packet data transfer in the multi-stage switched network configuration, there are disposed a plurality of connecting lines between bit switches and upper-level configuration units so as to establish a redundant configuration.

    摘要: A network management/display processing system having a network manager and a display unit, which selects data necessary for display from management data collected from a comunication network to be managed, and converts the selected data into a display data including a display identifier which is provided by the network manager. The display unit receives the display data from the network manager and displays on its screen, a management object corresponding to the display identifier contained in the display data. An attribute value for displaying a state of the management object on the screen in a distinct color manner may be attached to the display data and transmitted from the network manager to the display unit.

    摘要: The communication system has a plurality of sub-networks, for example composed of transmission communication nodes, PBX communication notes, application communication nodes, and the like, respectively. Each of these sub-networks is managed by a management system, and all of the management systems are managed by an integrated management system. Each communication node is autonomously provided with the function of establishing an emergency routing as a first stage routing control on the occurrence of a failure in a circuit affecting the communication node. The autonomous routing is heirarchial with respect to node types. Failure and the influences of failure are reported to the sub-network management systems, which in turn can report to the integrated management system. As a second stage of routing control, one or more of the management systems establishes a global routing to replace the emergency local routing. The global routing may take effect if the managment system determines that the failure cannot be corrected within a substantially fixed period of time.

    摘要: A network management system prepares an optimum configuration table corresponding to a failure of a transit trunk and distributes the same to each TDM, and thereby the optimization of reconfiguration of a high-speed digital network is enabled.User data are transmitted and received in accordance with route information table defined beforehand in each TDM. On the other hand, network management information is sent to all trunks other than a receiving trunk for the managing information when flooding is designated by the network management system. Accordingly, the management information can be sent without fail if any route to the TDM to be supplied with the management information exists. When source-routing is designated, the communications of the managing information can be implemented efficiently, since the route is set by the management information.Moreover, each packet exchanger provides route identifiers defined individually for correspondence to local trunks, and transit route information set in each packet is recorded by using the route identifiers of each packet exchanger. Route information determined in the flooding process is then used in subsequent source-routed communications.
