    摘要: A camera unit and an apparatus for monitoring a vehicle periphery, which are capable of picking up a wide range of a visual field while adequately adjusting the visual fields in the horizontal and vertical directions, and at the same time, improving visual confirmation of images displayed. The camera unit may include a pickup element, a lens system in which light rays incoming from a prescribed range of a visual field onto the pickup element are imaged, the lens system including a wide-angle lens system whose visual field angle in the horizontal direction is 120 degrees or more, and an anamorphic lens system whose anamorphic ratio is 1.5 or more.

    摘要: Terminals of a wire harness are sorted for each contact of a unit structure to which the terminals are to be connected. The sorted terminals are temporarily held by a jig in a configuration which matches the arrangement in which they are to be connected to the corresponding contacts. The, terminals are arranged in rows in the proper connection arrangement, and are transferred to the contacts and connected in this state. A retainer is then placed in the unit structure containing the connected terminals, thereby holding them in place. It is consequently possible to reduce the frequency of erroneous insertion, and to improve operating performance markedly.

    摘要: An imaging device has a single image pickup element, an image pickup lens arranged in front of the image pickup element, a first optical element having a concave lens property and arranged in front of the image pickup lens, and a second optical elements having no concave lens property and arranged in front of the image pickup lens. The first optical element guides light from a wide angle range in a forward slanting lower side direction onto the image pickup lens, and forms the light as an image in the image pickup element via the image pickup lens. The second optical elements guide lights from non-wide angle ranges in both left and right side directions onto the image pickup lens, and form these lights as images in the image pickup element via the image pickup lens.

    摘要: Terminals of a wire harness are sorted for each contact of a unit structure to which the terminals are to be connected.
