    摘要: The radio communication system has at least one first radio station such as a base station and a plurality of second radio stations such as mobile stations. The base station at least possesses a public key, and each of the mobile stations possesses a public-key cryptography function for using the public key and an identity itself. An identity confidentiality method includes steps of generating a time-varying public key at the base station based upon a predetermined time initial, and repeatedly broadcasting, from the base station, the generated time-varying public key to all the mobile stations. The mobile stations cipher their respective identities with the broadcasted time-varying public key so that the encrypted/identities of the mobile stations, which are sent to the base station, remain confidential. After enciphering their identity, the mobile stations wait to be called. When a mobile station is to be called, the base station enciphers the mobile station's identity with the time-varying public key and pages the enciphered identity to all mobile stations.

    摘要: An authentication system whereby authentication load can be distributed in the network without sharing secret information of users is provided. The system has a single master authentication center arranged in the network, the master authentication center sharing with the user a user secret key, and a plurality of slave authentication centers sharing with the master authentication center respective secret keys different from the user secret key. The master authentication center authenticates the user by using the user secret key and issues a certificate information which certifies legitimation of the user, to the user if the user is authenticated as a legitimate user. The slave authentication center authenticates the certificate information from the user and issues a permission information which allows an access to a specified server or an application server in the network, to the user if the user is authenticated as a legitimate user.

    摘要: In a transmission method of the present invention, when transmitting an information bit from a transmitter to a receiver, an encoder of the transmitter firstly inputs and encodes the information bit, and a modulator then modulates the encoded information bit to create a modulation symbol. A spreader spreads the obtained modulation symbol using a rotation orthogonal code having a rotation angle that is appropriate to a combination of the modulation method and the coding rate, and transmits it to a transmission path. The receiver performs a reverse operation of the transmitter, and decodes the information bit. In QPSK modulation where the coding rate of an error-correction code is ½, when a rotation angle that obtains a same signal point as OFDM is 0°, spreading is performed using a rotation orthogonal code having a rotation angle of between 17° and 45°, or between −17° and −45°, thereby reducing bit error and enabling highly-reliable communication to be achieved.

The RAKE receivers 10, 20 are the same in number as the antenna branches, and each RAKE receiver combines received signals by using a weight based on an amplitude of each received signal. Each of the noise-power measuring apparatus 30, 40 measures a sum of an interference power and a background-noise power in an output signal from each RAKE receiver. The branch combiner 50 multiplies the output signal from each RAKE receiver by an inverse of the sum measured by the noise-power measuring apparatus, and then adds up the value obtained by each multiplication.
