摘要: A fluorescent display device having a pseudo half mirror formed on a rear surface a face plate thereof and exhibiting a function like a neutral density filter. The face plate is formed on a whole rear surface thereof with an aluminum film including opening portions, non-opening portions and a solid portion. The opening and non-opening portions cooperate with each other to constitute a pseudo half mirror. The pseudo half mirror has light transmittance determined depending on a ratio in area between the opening portions and the non-opening portions. Thus, the light transmittance may be set as desired by varying the area ratio.

摘要: In a transmission method of the present invention, when transmitting an information bit from a transmitter to a receiver, an encoder of the transmitter firstly inputs and encodes the information bit, and a modulator then modulates the encoded information bit to create a modulation symbol. A spreader spreads the obtained modulation symbol using a rotation orthogonal code having a rotation angle that is appropriate to a combination of the modulation method and the coding rate, and transmits it to a transmission path. The receiver performs a reverse operation of the transmitter, and decodes the information bit. In QPSK modulation where the coding rate of an error-correction code is ½, when a rotation angle that obtains a same signal point as OFDM is 0°, spreading is performed using a rotation orthogonal code having a rotation angle of between 17° and 45°, or between −17° and −45°, thereby reducing bit error and enabling highly-reliable communication to be achieved.

摘要: A phosphor capable of preventing a deterioration in luminous characteristics thereof, particularly, high-temperature operation characteristics thereof due to a SiO2-containing pigment added thereto. The phosphor has a pigment contained therein, wherein the pigment has SiO2 added thereto and is melted, to thereby be coated with sodium glass. This permits gas generated during operation of the phosphor to be adsorbed on the phosphor as compared with a conventional phosphor to which the pigment subjected to the above-described treatment is not added, resulting in luminance retention of the phosphor after operation thereof being increased. In particular, it permits characteristics of the non-driven phosphor after the high-temperature operation test to be enhanced.

摘要: An apparatus for combining signals includes RAKE receivers 10, 20, noise-power measuring apparatuses 30, 40, and a branch combiner 50. The RAKE receivers 10, 20 are the same in number as the antenna branches, and each RAKE receiver combines received signals by using a weight based on an amplitude of each received signal. Each of the noise-power measuring apparatus 30, 40 measures a sum of an interference power and a background-noise power in an output signal from each RAKE receiver. The branch combiner 50 multiplies the output signal from each RAKE receiver by an inverse of the sum measured by the noise-power measuring apparatus, and then adds up the value obtained by each multiplication.

摘要: Both a wireless terminal apparatus and wireless base station apparatus are provided that can, in an operation of encoding the control signals of the upstream link transmitted from the multiple terminal stations while encoding with regard to each of the terminal stations, increase a number of the terminal stations to which different codes are respectively assigned. A wireless terminal apparatus includes: an encoding information receiving portion receiving encoding information which is used at the wireless terminal apparatus from the base station; a phase-shifting unit which conducts a phase-shifting operation on a predetermined first code based on the encoding information; a code selection unit which, based on the received encoding information, selects a second code from multiple codes orthogonally crossing each other; and a control signal encoding portion which conducts an encoding operation on the control signal that is going to be transmitted to the base station by using both the first code on which the phase-shifting operation has been conducted and the second code.

摘要: A receiver informs a delay profile and CIR measured in an FDE or a Rake receiver, together with a bit error rate of a received signal that is required in a receiver, as quality information to a transmitter. In the transmitter, based on the delay profile and CIR contained in the notified quality information, a number of code division multiplex and a frame format are decided in a decision circuit such that a bit error rate of a received signal, which is necessary on the receiver side, can be obtained. In addition, a transmission selection switch selects one of a unique word insertion unit and a cyclic prefix insertion unit that create a frame format for FDE reception and a pilot insertion unit and a complex scrambling unit that create a frame format for Rake reception, and data is then transmitted.

摘要: This invention provides a spread spectrum signal demodulator in which a noise component included in respective demodulation symbols is reduced and an effect of interference removal is further improved. Symbol decorrelating means detect correlations between spread codes allocated to spread spectrum signals to be removed and a receiving signal. A symbol deciding means 121 synthesizes one or the plurality of one symbol correlation values b1 to bk in common phase, namely, diversity-synthesizes them so as to decide a symbol. As the symbol decision, hard decision or soft decision can be used. Correlation modification means input the one symbol correlation values b1 to bk output from the symbol decorrelating means and the symbol decided result output from the symbol deciding means 121 thereinto, and modify the symbol correlation values b1 to bk. The modified symbol correlation values d1 to dk are transmitted into interference replicating means so as to be spectrum-spread by corresponding spread codes.
