摘要： An airbag jacket, to be fitted in a rider jacket, includes an airbag body configured to fill with gas from an inflator operatively connected with the airbag body. The airbag body includes a flat front piece, a flat back piece substantially identical to the flat front piece; the flat front and back pieces having an opening formed therein for permitting an user of the airbag jacket to pass his or her head therethrough. The flat front and back pieces are joined together along a peripheral boundary thereof and along a peripheral boundary of the opening by sewing or bonding so as provide a plurality of continuously formed body covering portions including at least a back covering portion, a shoulder covering portion and a front covering portion.

摘要： An airbag jacket, to be fitted in a rider jacket, includes an airbag body configured to fill with gas from an inflator operatively connected with the airbag body. 摘要： An airbag jacket having a good fitting performance of an expanded airbag for a body in the airbag jacket where the airbag is expanded along an outer surface of the body of the wearer. An airbag 2 is provided in a manner so as to cover a waistline and both shoulders of the wearer. An inside of the airbag 2 is partitioned into a plurality of cells 2a by means of that an inner panel 3 constituting a first surface on a wearer side of the airbag 2 and an outer panel 4 constituting a second surface on an opposite side to the wearer is partially stitched by means of a line-shaped stitching portion 6. Each of the cells 2a is formed to have a shape extending in a body height direction of the wearer. Thereby, the airbag 2 is brought to be expanded along an outer surface of a body portion of the wearer as a whole.

摘要： An airbag jacket having a good fitting performance of an expanded airbag for a body in the airbag jacket where the airbag is expanded along an outer surface of the body of the wearer. 摘要： A rider separation detecting device for precisely and quickly detecting the separation of a rider from a rider's seat. The rider separation detecting device includes a cable connected at one end thereof to one of a garment worn by the rider and a vehicle body, and winding mechanism having a drum connected to the other end of the cable and rotationally biased in a direction of winding of the cable. The winding mechanism is provided on the other of the garment and the vehicle body. Also included are a rotational angle detecting mechanism for detecting a rotational angle of the winding mechanism, and separation determining mechanism for determining the separation of the rider from the rider's seat according to a detection value from the rotational angle detecting mechanism. The device ensures proper detection and a good external appearance without hindering a normal action of the rider on the rider's seat.
