摘要： A process for the wet-treatment of an exhaust gas in which nitrogen oxide and sulfur oxide contained in the exhaust gas are removed by use of an absorbent comprising a lime slurry containing an alkali metal or alkaline earth metal iodide, wherein an oxidizing agent is supplied to at least a part of iodide containing liquid retrieved from the wet-treatment to oxidize the iodide and thereby recover said iodide as iodine.

摘要： An arrangement for forming a box-shaped covering body using a single flat covering metal sheet by placing the covering sheet over the top surface of the article being covered; pressing the covering flat sheet immovably on the article or product being covered by means of holding members; bending the left and right side portions of the flat covering sheet downward by means of lateral-portion bending members, thereby forming lateral cover portions on the left and right side wall faces of the product being covered; folding the front and rear ends of the lateral cover portions toward the front and rear end faces of the product being covered by means of corner folding members, thereby forming front and rear corner folds at respective corners of the product being covered; bending down the front and rear end portions of the flat covering sheet by means of end-portion bending members, thereby forming front and rear end-face cover portions in conformity with the contours of the front and rear end wall faces of the product being covered, which have the front and rear corner folds of the covering sheet. The article or product being covered is utilized as a block for folding the flat covering sheet over it.

摘要： A safe box-like structure of good appearance is formed in a simplified manner from a flat metal sheet by folding at right angles the opposite side portions of a flat rectangular metal sheet, for instance, of a steel sheet to provide a channel-shaped metal sheet, forming in each end portion of the upright side sections of the channel-shaped metal sheet a diagonal crease extending from an inner end of a prescribed vertical fold line disposed substantially perpendicular to the bottom section of the bottom section of the channel-shaped metal sheet to the outer corner point of the end portion of the side section, pressing a triangular intermediate section between the prescribed vertical fold line and the diagonal crease inwardly of the channel-shaped metal sheet, folding the triangular intermediate section and an outer triangular section toward each other along the afore-mentioned prescribed vertical fold line and diagonal crease, and upbending opposite end portions of the channel-shaped metal sheet at right angles, putting inside the wedge-shaped portions consisting of overlapped triangular sections which are formed at the joints of the adjacent side and end sections of the box-like structure, thereby precluding the dangers which would be otherwise invited by exposed wedge-shaped portions.

摘要： A method for treating an exhaust gas containing nitrogen oxides, oxygen and soot, in which the nitrogen oxides are selectively reduced into nitrogen by adding ammonia to the exhaust gas as a reducing agent under existence of a catalyzer, is improved in that the nitrogen oxide is removed by introducing the exhaust gas into a denitration reactor in which a plurality of planar catalyzer packs or catalyzer packs having gas passage holes are arrayed in parallel to a gas flow and a linear velocity of the gas through the reactor is selected at 4-15 m/s. In one preferred mode of the method, soot having a relatively large particle diameter is preliminarily removed by a dust remover disposed upstream of the reactor, while most of the remaining soot is removed by a high performance dust collector disposed downstream of the reactor. Denitration reactor structures suitable for the improved method for treatment are also disclosed herein.
