摘要： A decoder apparatus which includes a de-multiplexer, which is configured to divide motion picture data from a transport stream, a video decoder, which is configured to decode the divided motion picture data, and a first re-formatter on-screen unit, which is configured to display motion picture data and at least one of first and second graphic data on a screen. The first re-formatter on-screen unit converts motion picture data of a first aspect ratio, which is decoded by the video decoder, and first graphics data, which is produced by applying information relating to a caption corresponding to the motion picture data, into a second aspect ratio, when outputting the motion picture data of the first aspect ratio after conversion into the second aspect ratio, without converting the aspect ratio of second graphic data, which is produced by applying information relating to a program guide.

摘要： An image transmission device compresses and transmits image data to be sent and cannot correct errors occurring on the transmission path when image data to be transmitted is larger than a currently prescribed image size. In an image receiving device which receives compressed image data, data to be inputted is inputted by switching between first periods, during which the amount of data transmitted per prescribed time interval is a first data transmission amount, and second periods, during which the amount of data transmitted per prescribed time interval is less than the first data transmission amount. Compressed image data is inputted during the first periods, and error correction codes are inputted during the second periods, and a control unit expands the output of an error detection unit by means of an expansion unit and outputs the same.

摘要： The present invention relates to an image decoder which implements high speed image decoding with a low cost and simple configuration. By a stream dividing module, an input video stream is divided in units of frames as a plurality of frame rows for distribution. Each of plural decoders generates decoded images by decoding a distributed frame row. Of the decoded images generated by the decoders, reference images to be referred to when a subsequent frame is decoded is stored in a reference image frame memory. A timing control module receives information about stream distribution from the stream dividing module and controls the respective timings of decoding frames distributed to the decoders.

摘要： Input video information is subjected to two kinds of encoding processes by an encoding portion. Encoded video files A and B generated thus are recorded in a recording portion. An inputted edit command to edit desired video information is converted into an edit command by a user I/F portion. The edit command is supplied to edition portions A and B. Encoded video files A and B generated from the same video information are read out from the recording portion in accordance with the edit command. The encoded video file A is subjected to an edition process by the edition portion A while the encoded video file B is subjected to the edition process by the edition portion B. Edited video files A and B obtained by the edition process are supplied to the recording portion to rewrite corresponding encoded video files before edition therewith respectively.
