摘要: An improved method and system for non-contact powder image development are provided. The present technique implements a 5-stage jumping development cycle where the initial stage is a momentary over-voltage condition to release the majority of the toner on a donor substrate and the final stage includes the implementation of a decelerating potential to minimize return impact on the donor and therefore toner abuse. It also uses a routine to directly determine improved (e.g. up to optimal) waveform amplitudes and pulse widths based on toner size and q/m, guided by physical insight.

摘要: The subject matter of this specification can be embodied in, among other things, a system for securing a solar tracking device support member to a ground surface. A receiving member is adapted to receive the solar tracking device support member, and an anchor member including an elongate anchor shaft having a longitudinal axis, at least one ground pull-out restraining member disposed on a lower portion of the anchor shaft, and an expanded portion of the anchor shaft disposed longitudinally on an upper portion of the anchor shaft and adapted to support the receiving member. An uppermost portion of the upper portion of the anchor shaft is adapted to pass through an opening in the solar tracking device support. A biasing member is disposed about the uppermost portion of the anchor shaft, and a fastener is removably received on a distal end of the upper portion of the anchor shaft.

摘要: The Pendulum Whiteboard Printer is an effector platform for a fully-automatic robotic device for marking or otherwise effecting whiteboards, pinboards, or other vertical surfaces The effector platform is designed to be suspended by two suspension wires whose lengths are adjusted by motorized spindles mounted above and on either side of the board surface. The position of the effector platform is adjusted by winding and unwinding the wires. Electrical power is supplied to the effector platform through the suspension wires or from an on-board battery. Control of a pen and/or other apparatus on the effector platform is achieved through modulation of the power voltage. The effector platform may be fitted with a variety of end effectors such as dry-erase markers, gripping elements, and squeegees.

摘要: Approaches to remove objects from ink in an ink jet printer are described. An object separator for an ink jet printer includes one or more inlets configured to allow passage of ink that includes objects such as bubbles and particles into the object separator. The object separator has a number of stacked plates. Some of the plates have curved channels which are connected through other plates that include vias. The plates are arranged to form at least one cyclonic flow generator, the cyclonic flow generator configured to focus the objects into one or more focused flow streams. The object separator includes one or more object outlets that allow objects to exit the object separator and at least one ink outlet that allows the ink to exit the object separator.

摘要: Bubble mitigation approaches for phase change ink involve creating a thermal gradient along an ink flow path of an ink jet printer during a time that the ink is undergoing a phase change. The thermal gradient causes one portion of the ink in the ink flow path to be in liquid phase while another portion of the ink is in solid phase. The thermal gradient allows the liquid ink to move along the ink flow path to fill in voids and/or to push out air pockets in the portion of the ink that is still solid. The bubble mitigation process may be implemented during a start-up operation when the ink is transitioning from a solid phase to a liquid phase and/or during a power down operation when the ink is transitioning from a liquid phase to a solid phase.

摘要: This disclosure introduces a system which generates a visual, audio, and/or tactile warning to a driver of a lead vehicle when a possible rear-end collision is detected, based on the approach of a second vehicle from a rear direction. The system may also generate a warning signal (such as quick blinking red brake light, or an array of multi-color lights) directed to the approaching vehicle when it is determined to be approaching at an unsafe speed. The system may include one or more of: approaching-vehicle-sensors mounted on the back end of the lead vehicle, a computer processing system, a set of warning lights, a set of speakers within the lead vehicle, and an antenna and transmitter/receiver for communicating with systems of other vehicles. This system may include a connection to the existing taillight system and other existing systems in the lead vehicle. Extended systems may include connections to and control of head support system, seat-belt systems and airbags system to provide additional safety to the occupants of the lead vehicle. The system may also record and store a few seconds of sensor data of the pre-crash and crash related scene when an impact occurs, and provide blind spot warnings.
