Abstract:
Compositions for application to the interior surface of the tread of a pneumatic tire to facilitate relative movement between contacting portions of the interior surface when the tire is driven deflated, comprise a polybutene, an acrylic polymer or a polyolefin as a gelling agent for the polybutene, and a particulate solid puncture sealing material. Preferred gelling agents are polyethylenes, especially a mixture of high density and low density polyethylenes. Examples of suitable puncture sealing materials are rubber crumb and wood flour.
Abstract:
An automated medication preparation system for preparing a prescribed dosage of medication in a drug delivery device includes a plurality of stations for receiving, handling and processing the drug delivery device so that the prescribed dosage of medication is delivered to the drug delivery device. At least one of the stations includes a peripheral device for performing at least one operation and a transporting device that receives and holds more than one drug delivery device and moves the drug delivery devices in a controlled manner from one station to another station. The system includes a master controller that tracks and controls the movement of the transporting device and operation of equipment at one or more stations. In addition, a system further includes a Bluetooth communications network between the peripheral device and the master controller such that that the peripheral device automatically communicates with the controller when the peripheral device is within a predetermined distance from the controller.

Abstract:
A repair plug comprises an elongate body having a head and a tail made of rubber compositions having different moduli of extension. The head has a higher modulus of extension than the tail and is adapted for engagement by a repair tool. The head may have a hole adjacent the free end thereof in which a member of a repair tool is received to allow insertion of the plug in a puncture hole without folding back on itself.Preferably the head is tapered in the direction leading towards the free end thereof and is made of a rubber composition the hardness of which exceeds that of the tail thereby further facilitating insertion.
Abstract:
A tire and wheel rim assembly wherein the wheel rim includes adjacent to at least one bead seat a circumferentially extending groove and the tire bead has a radially and axially projecting extended toe portion which is axially and radially located within said groove. The toe is flexible in a direction substantially perpendicular to its length and substantially rigid in the direction of its length and provides an effective bead lock to retain the tire bead in position on the rim.
Abstract:
A tire having a coating of a gelled non-volatile lubricating material disposed on at least the interior surface of the tread to facilitate relative movement between contacting portions of the interior surface of the tire when the tire is driven deflated. The coating is incapable of flowing away from the portion of the interior surface to which it is applied either under gravity or under the forces generated inside a tire during inflated running.
