摘要: A method for reducing computational expenditure required to compensate for temperature-related dimensional deviations in a machine tool is described. Temperature-related dimensional deviations are compensated for before the user input information existing in the workpiece-specific coordinate system is converted into the machine-specific coordinate system. As a result, the requisite coordinate transformation carried out with the aid of a mapping matrix does not have to be performed twice, once for user input information and again for compensation values. In addition, the compensation values for the temperature-dependent expansion are only calculated when a minimum value for the temperature variation is exceeded.

摘要: In a method for continuous-path control in at least two linear axes and at least one angle axis, the movement of a tool relative to a workpiece is predefined by a parts program for a numerical control. The velocity control in the numerical control is performed separately for the linear axes and the angle axes. Deviations in the movement between the tool and the workpiece resulting due to the separate velocity control may be corrected by compensation movements of the linear axes. The separate velocity control for the linear axes and the angle axes may be achieved by rounding the velocity profiles in the angle axes more significantly than the velocity profiles in the linear axes. A measure for the rounding for velocity profiles may be predefined separately for the angle axes and the linear axes.

摘要: A system is described for reliable monitoring of clock rates, where a first processor which receives a first clock rate causes a counter to count using this first clock rate. A second processor which receives a second clock rate also causes another counter to count using the second clock rate. The readings of the counters are stored by the processors at predefined intervals in a common memory. Subsequently each of the processors loads the counter reading of the other processor, and compares it with its own counter reading. If both readings are within a tolerance range, one of the counter readings is used as a reference for all the other counters and the other counter readings are made equal to this reference value, so that subsequent monitoring of the processors is based on this reference value for the respective counters. If a reading is outside the tolerance range, an error is triggered.

摘要: An improved counter for use with an incremental measuring device is disclosed which includes an up-down counter, a plurality of memory units, a computer, and means for designating any of the memory units. The computer is coupled to the counter and the memory units and is programmed to algebraically combine the value stored in the counter with the value stored in the designated memory unit to generate an output value for display. In the preferred embodiment, circuits are provided for setting the individual memory units to preselected values. The counter of this invention can be used to selectively display the measured position in any one of several measurement modes by designation of the appropriate memory unit.
