Abstract:
A part for a motor vehicle intended to come into contact with hydrocarbons has a polytetrafluoroethylene coating (3) adapted to make the part (1) impermeable. Use of a polytetrafluoroethylene coating for making impermeable parts of a motor vehicle on the fuel system, in order to limit the emission of hydrocarbons through these parts.
Abstract:
A hydraulic brake system for vehicles, particularly light rail vehicles, includes at least one brake actuator for engaging the brake by means of a group of springs and disengaging the brake by hydraulic pressure. The system comprises an electric drive motor and pump for supplying pressurized hydraulic fluid to the actuator, and a safety valve and solenoid valves for controlling the pressure of the hydraulic fluid in the actuator. An accumulator is connected to the electric drive motor and pump for delivering the pressurized hydraulic fluid via valves and restriction for adjusting the pressure in the accumulator to a value substantially inversely proportional to the load of the vehicle. It is connected to the actuator by shuttle valves controlled by the pressure of the accumulator when the control safety valve and solenoid valves are actuated to relieve hydraulic fluid from the actuator.
Abstract:
An actuator for a spring brake used for parking and emergency has a spring operating on the brake push rod which will apply braking unless fluid pressure in the braking system applied to a piston overcomes spring pressure. To disable the spring brake the rod is retracted by a mechanism coupling the piston to the rod so that the brake is automatically restored into service when the piston is operated by the fluid pressure. The mechanism has a one-way clutch engaging a threaded push rod by means of a nut in non-self-locking engagement on the push rod threads.
Abstract:
The subject of the invention is a device for displaying flight plans of an aircraft comprising a control unit with at least one first display area comprising a textual list of identifiers of points, of pseudo-points and/or of segments that is representative of a portion of the flight plan, the display of the said list being centred around a central display point, the said point corresponding to a point, a pseudo-point or a segment of the flight plan, the said device being characterized in that it comprises means for displacing by jumps the flight plan portion displayed in the first display area by selecting a different central display point from the current central display point, the said selected point becoming the new central display point.
Abstract:
A spring brake actuator has manual means for discontinuing and automatic means for restoring the spring braking function. A non-self-locking nut member is rotatable about the spindle and is releasably locked to the brake cylinder in that direction it rotates due to spring force.
Abstract:
A device for displaying a flight plan of an aircraft is disclosed. The device includes a control unit with at least one first display area including a textual list of identifiers of points, a textual list of identifiers of segments, or both that are representative of a portion of the flight plan. A display of the textual lists are centered around a current central display point, the current central display point corresponding to a point of the flight plan or a segment of the flight plan. The device further includes means for displacing by jumps the flight plan portion displayed in the first display area by selecting a new point different from the current central display point, the selected new point becoming a new central display point after selection thereof.
Abstract:
A spring brake actuator has a quick release clutch for deactivating the brake in absence of fluid pressure and a governing device operating the clutch in response to the relative pressures prevailing at the service brake and spring brake cylinders. The governing device comprises a biased pilot valve and a signal valve which permit alternate operation of the brake release clutch manually or automatically.
