The article to which the present invention is directed includes both the diaper and the sanitary napkin and, hence, as the main body, either of one taking the form of underpants when worn, which has a size enough to cover the wearer's entire waist portion, and of a relatively small one which covers only the wearer's crotch portion is used, The sanitary article according to the present invention follows the wearer's movement when it is worn, and the main body does not offset from a predetermined position, but an intended absorbing effect can be displayed to the maximum extent and yet the accidental leakage cannot occur.

The main body comprises a front section and a rear section joined to each other in a crotch region and side regions of the main body. The front section has at least one constituent element whose property is different from that of the corresponding element of the rear section. The absorbent article is fully responsive to a variety of article configurations or constructions which require the front and rear sections to function differently or individually. A method for manufacturing such an absorbent article is also disclosed.

    摘要： An absorbent article incorporating a main body which has a waist hole and a pair of leg holes, and comprises a topsheet positioned in a facing relation to a wearer's body, a backsheet positioned opposite thereto, and an absorbent core interposed between the backsheet and the topsheet. The topsheet is a composite which comprises two layers of sheet material and two elastic members sandwiched between the two sheets of material. The topsheet further has communicating means disposed in a crotch region of the absorbent article for receiving body exudates. The communicating means is surrounded by the elastic members which form leg gathers, and serves as a passage to communicate body exudates to a space defined between the topsheet and the backsheet. The absorbent article of the present invention can provide excellent flexibility, a snug fit and comfort to a wearer during use, while effectively preventing leakage from the leg gathers.

    摘要： The present invention is directed to provide a diaper having a pocket structure which includes a breakage-resistant hydrophobic topsheet and an apertured portion of proper size which is surrounded by a strengthened inner periphery and provides an improved leakage protection effect. The present invention is further directed to a method of manufacturing such diaper which enables economical and simplified process operation. A diaper is,provided wherein an absorbent body is interposed between a liquid impermeable backsheet and an apertured hydrophobic topsheet to form side, front and rear end portions of the diaper. The hydrophobic topsheet includes two separate sheets each having alternating concave portion and convex portions defined by a wavy side edge. The two sheets are arranged to face to each,other so that the convex portions thereof partially overlay each other at front and rear end portions of the diaper to form pocket portions. The concave portions each have a flap portion which is folded over a predetermined width to enclose an elastic member and the flap portions face each other to bound an apertured portion therebetween.

    摘要： A nonwoven fabric of superior uniaxial elasticity is provided. The nonwoven fabric comprises of conjugate filaments each of which is about concentric sheath-core type. Core component is composed of polyester and sheath component is composed of polyolefine. In the nonwoven fabric, heat bonded areas are interspersed by heat bonding the conjugate filaments one another by softening or melting the sheath component. The nonwoven fabric satisfies following four properties concurrently: (i) breaking elongation in cross direction is 150% or more, (ii) ratio of breaking elongation in cross direction to breaking elongation in machine direction is 5 or more, (iii) percentage of elastic recovery at the time of extending the nonwoven fabric by 50% in cross direction is 60% or more, and (iv) percentage of elastic recovery at the time of extending the nonwoven fabric by 100% in cross direction is 50% or more. A heat is partially applied to a filamentous web, thereby obtaining a filamentous fleece. The filamentous fleece is extended in cross direction and a heat drawing is applied to the filamentous fleece at a drawing ratio of 10 to 80% in machine direction, and a heat setting is applied to the filamentous fleece, thereby an elastic nonwoven fabric is obtained.
