摘要: The present disclosure provides a core-sheath filament. The core-sheath filament includes an adhesive core and a non-tacky sheath, wherein the sheath exhibits a melt flow index of less than 15 grams per 10 minutes. The present disclosure also provides a method of printing an adhesive. The method includes a) melting a core-sheath filament in a nozzle to form a molten composition, and b) dispensing the molten composition through the nozzle onto a substrate. Steps a) and b) are carried out one or more times to form a printed adhesive. The core-sheath filament includes an adhesive core and a non-tacky sheath. Further, methods are provided, including receiving, by a manufacturing device having one or more processors, a digital object comprising data specifying an article; and generating, with the manufacturing device by an additive manufacturing process using a core-sheath filament, the article including a printed adhesive based on the digital object. A system is also provided, including a display that displays a 3D model of an article; and one or more processors that, in response to the 3D model selected by a user, cause a 3D printer to create a physical object of an article including a printed adhesive, using a core-sheath filament.

摘要: A method of creating a soft and lofty continuous fiber nonwoven web is provided. The method includes providing first and second, different molten polymers to a spinneret defining a plurality of orifices and flowing a fluid intermediate the spinneret and a moving porous member. The method includes using the fluid to draw the first and second molten polymers, in a direction toward the porous member, through at least some of the plurality of orifices to form a plurality of individual continuous fiber strands. The method includes depositing the continuous fiber strands onto the porous member at a first location to produce an intermediate continuous fiber nonwoven web, and intermittently varying, in at least two different zones, a vacuum force applied to the moving porous member and to the intermediate web downstream of the first location and without the addition of more continuous fibers and without any heat applied.

摘要: Various implementations include a melt-spun filament that has a radial cross section that has two substantially parallel linear perimetrical sections and first and second curved perimetrical sections. The first curved perimetrical section extends between first ends of the linear perimetrical sections, and the second curved perimetrical section extends between second ends of the linear perimetrical sections. The curved perimetrical sections are convex. According to some embodiments, the curved perimetrical sections are semi-circular or semi-elliptical. A plurality of melt-spun filaments may be included in a bundle of filaments and/or a yarn made with the melt-spun filaments. In addition, a spinneret plate for spinning the melt-spun filaments and a method of making the melt-spun filaments is also provided.

摘要: A sheath-core composite fiber is composed of two or more polymers, wherein a core component having a multifoliate shape with three or more projections is completely covered by a sheath component in a fiber cross-section of the sheath-core composite fiber, while having a ratio of the maximum thickness Smax of the sheath component to the minimum thickness Smin of the sheath component, namely Smax/Smin of 5.0 or more. A multifilament is composed of the core component of this sheath-core composite fiber. The sheath-core composite fiber and multifilament are suitable for the achievement of a good textile that is comparable to natural silk.

摘要: The invention relates to a spunbond nonwoven material made of continuous filaments, in particular crimped continuous filaments, the filaments being in the form of bicomponent filaments or multicomponent filaments and having an eccentric sheath-core configuration. The sheath of the filaments, in the filament cross-section, has a constant thickness d over at least 20% of the filament circumference.
