    摘要: Coating equipment 20 with an extrusion type coating head comprising a back edge 6 having a top side which slopes away from a support from the height of the top of a front edge 5, a coating fluid spouting slot 4 defined by both the edges, and guide plates for regulating the width of a coating fluid spouted from the slot tip on both side ends of the slot for applying the coating fluid to the support surface from the slot 4 in a non-pressurized condition. The nearest point to the support surface in the slot corresponding portion of the upper edge of the guide plate 7 is positioned slightly upstream from the center line of the width of the slot along the support running direction and the area given by the product of the distance between the nearest point and the support surface and the width of the slot is made a specific value or less. The coating equipment thus formed has no risk of damaging the support and effectively lessens the effect of air entering from both end sides of an application point of a coating fluid during a high speed thin coat application and produces no film cut when the coating fluid is applied to the running support surface by non-pressurization type coating equipment.

    摘要: A coating apparatus for forming one or more coating layers on a substrate by means of an extrusion-type head comprising a front edge located on an upstream side with respect to a moving direction of the substrate and a back edge which is located on a downstream side in the moving direction of the substrate.     摘要: A coating method in which a surface of a web 7, which is supported by a pair of support rolls 2 and 3 so as to run continuously along a back edge surface 4 and a doctor edge surface 5 of a coating head 1, is coated with a coating composition by the coating head 1. The coating method includes setting an optimum coating condition by adjusting the distance b from a top end portion 10 of a slot 6 to each of the points of tangency 8 and 9 where the web 7 contacts the respective support rolls 2 and 3 on the basis of a relation expression under the consideration of the thickness t, Young's modulus E and Poisson's ratio .nu. of the web 7, the deviation .delta. of rotation due to the eccentricity of each of the support rolls 2 and 3, and the carrying tension T per unit width of the web 7; and extruding the coating composition continuously from the top end portion 10 of the slot 6 of the coating head 1 to the surface of the web 7. Accordingly, a good coating method is provided in which a uniform coating layer can be obtained on the basis of the clarification of a coating condition in which a coating composition is applied onto a thin web without the occurrence of any stripe irregularity and/or any thickness irregularity.

    摘要: A coating method and coating apparatus with which a thin film having a uniform thickness free from stripe or step unevenness of a coating composition is formed at a high speed. An extrusion-type coating head is provided which has a front edge and at least one back edge, the front edge being disposed on the upstream side in the direction of movement of a support, the back edge being disposed on the downstream side in the direction of movement of the support, and the back edge having a top end which is set back stepwise from the front edge in the direction away from the support. Coating is performed under the conditions that the pressure P.sub.c of the coating composition at a point of application of the coating composition onto the support is in a range of 0.ltoreq.P.sub.c .ltoreq.0.25 kgw/cm.sup.2, while liquid sealing is obtained with a composition mainly containing an organic solvent applied in advance to a coating surface of the support. The ratio of t.sub.1 /t.sub.0 satisfies the relation 0.2.ltoreq.t.sub.1 /t.sub.2 .ltoreq.20, where t.sub.0 represents the thickness of the coating composition before drying just after coating, and t.sub.1 represents the length of a perpendicular line from the top end of the most downstream side back edge to a tangent drawn between the front edge and a conveyance roll on the downstream side of the coating head.

    摘要: In the condition that a support is liquid-sealed with a precoat solution mainly containing a solvent and being applied onto the coating surface of the support in advance, a coating composition, prepared by dispersing powder of a mean particle size not larger than 0.4 .mu.m, is applied so as to be laminated onto the precoat solution by means of an extrusion head. The extrusion head has a front edge located at the upstream side with respect to the direction of movement of the support, and a back edge located at the downstream side with respect to the direction of movement of the support so that an end of the back edge retreats farther from the support with a difference in level than the front edge. The wet film thickness of the precoat solution is made to be in a range not larger than 1/3 of the wet film thickness of the coating composition. A coating method in which the surface quality of a coating film formed on a surface of a support can be improved is therefore provided.

    摘要: An apparatus for high speed manufacturing of thin-film coated products, wherein the coating thickness is even and the products do not contain uneven streaks. The apparatus includes a coating head having a frontedge disposed on an upstream side of a support, a backedge disposed on a downstream side of the support, and a top end receding stepwise away from the frontedge and away from the support. The backedge has an acute-angled top end portion. The coating apparatus is configured so that filtration central-line waves (W.sub.CA) are formed in a direction perpendicular to the direction of movement of the support. These waves are formed in slit inner surfaces, a frontedge surface and a backedge surface of a top end portion of the coating head. Each wave in these surfaces is less than or equal to 0.2 .mu.m in length.
