    摘要: A pad for an air bag device including an upper wall portion which has an openable portion which, upon expansion of the air bag, is separated from a side wall portion of the pad, leaving a hinge portion, and is angularly movable about that pivot axis so as to be openable. The openable portion is constituted by a net insert of a net-like configuration and a covering layer of a soft material covering the net insert. The net insert has a slit which is formed in one edge portion thereof remote from the hinge portion and extends toward the hinge portion. With this construction, even if part of the pad is curved, the net insert can be set in a corresponding injection mold without generating wrinkles in the net insert, and the molding can be performed in such a manner that the openable portion has a good appearance.

    摘要: A method of molding a steering wheel of the type having no core in its ring is provided. The mold is formed with a first cavity for forming the ring and a second cavity arranged therein with a slide core for forming cooling members. With the slide core being in a lower position, a polypropylene resin in molten state is injected to fill the first and second cavities. The, resin in the second cavity is cooled and set first because a volume thereof is less than that of the first cavity. After this, the slide core is moved to embed the cooling members into the first cavity so that the inset resin in the central portion of the first cavity may be cooled by the cooling members. Then, the unset resin in the first cavity has its solidification accelerated by contact with the cooling members. The steering wheel is extracted from the mold after the resin in the first cavity has been completely set.

    摘要: A method for producing a fluorine-containing polyimide film excelling in heat resistance, resistance to chemicals, water repellency, dielectric properties, electrical properties, and optical properties and a spin coater suitable for the method are to be provided. A method for the production of a fluorine-containing polyimide film which comprises forming a coating film of a fluorine-containing polyimide precursor in an atmosphere having a relative humidity thereof adjusted to a level of not more than 50 RH % and then subjecting the fluorine-containing polyimide precursor to heat treatment thereby forming a fluorine-containing polyimide film is provided. By adjusting the relative humidity in accordance with this method, the fluorine-containing polyimide precursor can be prevented from being decomposed by the absorption of moisture and consequently prevent effectively the fluorine-containing polyimide film from forming piriform spots and scratches. Further, by forming the coating film while keeping the coating film sprayed with a gas particularly during the course of spin coating thereby giving rise to a layer of air flow on the coating film, misty substances of the coating solution generated within the spin coater can be prevented from adhering again to the coating film and consequently ensure the production of a coating film of uniform quality. This formation of the layer of air flow can be facilitated by providing the spin coater with a lid and furnishing the lid with a gas feed port.

An end portion of the long resin molded article is heated so as to soften the end portion of the long resin molded article. The design surface of the heated end portion is pressed so as to stretch resin on a side of the design surface thereby forming an inclined surface on the end portion, whereby the end portion is inclined from the design surface at the end portion to said attachment surface at the end portion along said inclined surface. The attachment surface of the heated end portion is pressed so as to form a cavity on the attachment surface and stretch resin on a side of the attachment surface. In the processing, the resin on the design surface side is stretched to a substantially equal degree to the resin on the attachment surface side.

The switch 28 and a support portion 34 of the support plate 33 are constituted in a planar shape substantially equal to that of the openable door 12 of the ceiling 10 of the pad. The support plate 33 is provided with an attaching leg 39 placed along a side wall 17 of the pad. The support plate 33 is attached to a bag holder 19 by the attaching leg 39. Positioning recesses 36 and positioning projections 14 for engaging with each other are formed at the support portion 34 and the door 12. Further, supporting projections 15 for providing a space of predetermined size between the support portion 34 and an inside surface of the door 12 when brought into contact with each other, are formed at the support portion 34 and the door 12.
