摘要: This invention provides a process for preparing polyolefins using a new catalyst. According to this invention, .alpha.-olefins can be polymerized or copolymerized to have good stereoregularity and at a high activity by the use of such new catalyst. The new catalyst used in this invention consists of [A] a solid component obtained by contacting (1) a magnesium oxide, (2) an aluminum trihalide, (3) a hydroxy compound represented by the general formula ROH wherein R is an organic radical having 1 to 20 carbon atoms and (4) a titanium halide and/or an addition product of a titanium halide and an aromatic carboxylic acid ester, and [B] an organometallic compound and/or an addition product of an organometallic compound and an aromatic carboxylic acid ester; or it consists of the solid component of the above [A], the organometallic compound and/or the addition product of an organometallic compound and an aromatic carboxylic acid ester of the above [B], and [C] an aromatic carboxylic acid ester. The said catalyst is prepared, in one of the most preferred embodiments thereof, by using the solid component of the above [A] which is obtained by first co-pulverizing the compounds of the above (1),(2) and (3), then washing the co-pulverized product with an aromatic compound, separating the liquid phase to give a solid substance (a) and contacting the latter with the compound and/or the addition product of the above (4).

摘要: According to this invention, there is provided a process for preparing a non- or low-crystalline soft copolymer, characterized in that 50 to 98 mole % of propylene, 0.2 to 30 mole % of ethylene and 0.2 to 45 mole % of a straight-chained .alpha.-olefin having not less than four carbon atoms are copolymerized using a catalyst, said catalyst comprising (1) a solid substance containing magnesium and titanium and (2) an organometallic compound.

摘要: According to the present invention there are provided a catalyst component, a catalyst using the catalyst component and a process using the catalyst, for the preparation of olefin polymers high in molecular weight and relatively wide in molecular weight distribution, using an extremely small amount of a modified organoaluminum compound such as methylaluminoxane and in high yield. 摘要: A process for the polymerization of olefinic hydrocarbons is carried out in the presence of a catalyst comprising a catalyst component derived from reacting a compound of the formula Me.sup.1 R.sup.1.sub.n X.sup.1.sub.4-n, a compound of the formula Me.sup.2 R.sup.2.sub.m X.sup.2.sub.z-m, an organocyclic compound having two or more conjugated double bonds and a carrier of inorganic or polymeric material, and a modified organoaluminum compound having Al--O--Al bonds, the resulting polyolefins having a relatively wide molecular weight distribution, a relatively narrow composition distribution and increased bulk density.

摘要: An effective catalyst carrier for use in the polymerization of olefins is provided.Said carrier comprises particles of silicon oxide or aluminum oxide satisfying the following characteristics (A) to (E):(A) An average particle diameter as measured by the sieving method is in the range of 20 to 150 .mu.m.(B) A specific surface area as measured by the BET method is in the range of 150 to 600 m.sup.2 /g.(C) The volume of pores ranging in pore radius from 18 to 1,000 Angstroms as measured by the mercury penetration method is in the range of 0.3 to 2.0 cm.sup.3 /g.(D) An apparent specific gravity as measured according to JIS K6220-6.8 is not lower than 0.32.(E) After the particles classified in the range of between 53 .mu.m and 75 .mu.m by the sieving method have been subjected to an ultrasonic disintegration treatment at 40 KHz, 35 W, for 20 minutes, the proportion of 50 .mu.m or smaller particles, i.e., degree of ultrasonic disintegration, is not more than 30%.
