    摘要: A metal alloy exhibiting exceptional damping characteristics consisting essentially of from 1 to 8% aluminum, 2 to 30% chromium, and including up to 0.02% carbon with the balance being essentially iron. The alloy is heat treated at a temperature in the range of 700.degree. to 1200.degree. C. to provide the alloy with the enhanced damping characteristics.
