    摘要: A high speed flexible printed circuit (FPC) connector includes a housing with ground and signal contact terminal pairs arranged in the housing in a staggered manner along a lateral direction. The housing has a cavity for receiving an FPC board therein. Each ground contact terminal has an upper arm positioned adjacent to a top wall of the cavity and a lower arm positioned adjacent to a bottom wall of the cavity. Each signal contact terminal has only a lower arm positioned adjacent to the bottom wall of the cavity. Signal contact terminals with the only lower arm provide the connector with better signal integrity. An actuator is coupled to the housing for fixing the FPC board in the cavity to establish electrical connections. The actuator has recesses corresponding to the positions of the signal pairs to provide a dielectric constant different from that of the other parts of the actuator.

The latching arm 44 can be pressed by means of a finger-catch part 68.     摘要: An electrical connector has an insulative housing that is mounted on a circuit board. The insulative housing has a plurality of contacts with tines that extend through a bottom surface of the insulative housing for connection to the circuit board. A movable contact alignment member is positioned adjacent to the bottom surface of the housing and aligns the tines with the circuit board. The moveable contact alignment member is temporarily fixed to the insulative housing by latch arms and is urged into permanent fixture with the insulative housing by the circuit board when the insulative housing is mounted thereon. A shield member is attached to the insulative housing. The shield member has an extension portion configured to shield at least a portion of the tines that are exposed between the insulative housing and the movable contact alignment member.

A shield member is mounted to an exterior of the insulative housing and is connected to a circuit board. Guide posts protrude from a surface of the insulative housing for facilitating engagement of the electrical connector with a mating connector. The guide posts have tips positioned further from the insulative housing than the engagement portion. Conductive members are arranged on the tips of the guide posts. The conductive members facilitate electrostatic discharge with the mating connector and have retention legs connected to the circuit board independently from the shield member.
