    摘要: A projection display device capable of improving cooling efficiency of the power unit includes a light source lamp unit, a projection lens unit, an exhaust fan provided near the light source lamp unit for ventilating an outer case, and a ventilating path provided inside the power unit. A suction fan is provided at the inlet of the ventilating path which is connected to the cooling air intake port through a duct cover to directly conduct fresh air into the ventilating path. Because the interior of the power unit is cooled by fresh air which is cooler than the air inside the outer case, cooling efficiency is enhanced.

    摘要: A projector prevents deterioration in optical characteristics of liquid crystal panels caused by heat generated by polarizers, and sticking of dirt onto the light-outgoing surface of the liquid crystal panels. Polarizers are disposed adjacent to the light-outgoing surfaces of liquid crystal panels, while other polarizers are disposed adjacent to the light-incoming surfaces of the liquid crystal panels. The liquid crystal panels and the two polarizers disposed adjacent to the light-incoming and light-outgoing surface of their corresponding liquid crystal panels, are supported by dust protection members. The area between the light-incoming surface of each liquid crystal panel and its associated polarizer disposed adjacent to the light-incoming surface, and the area between the light-outgoing surface of each liquid crystal panel and its associated polarizer disposed adjacent to the light-outgoing surface thereof are cut off from the outside by the dust protection member associated thereto. By virtue of this structure, it is possible to prevent deterioration in the optical characteristics of each liquid crystal panel, and to prevent dirt from sticking onto the light-outgoing surface of each light valve. Therefore, a high quality image with excellent contrast can be projected.

    摘要: To increase the usage efficiency of the light of optical elements used in a projection display device, a polarizing conversion unit is provided. This polarizing conversion unit consists of a unit frame, two polarizing conversion element arrays, a light-shielding plate, a lens array, and clips. From the side of one open surface of the unit frame, the two polarizing conversion element arrays are inserted, and the light-shielding plate and the lens array are inserted from the side of the other open surface in this order. These optical elements are clamped by four clips from the two directions of up and down in a state of being stored in the unit frame. Since the clips are formed of an elastic body, the clips can be easily attached and detached, and the respective parts of the polarizing conversion unit can also be easily attached and detached to and from the unit frame.     摘要: The invention provides a light source device which can positively arrange a light source lamp at a predetermined position on an optical axis. To this end, the invention provides an alignment reference surface on a reflector to which the light source lamp is attached. More specifically, a light source device of the invention comprises a light source lamp, and a reflector for reflecting light emitted from the light source lamp, the light source lamp being attached to the reflector, wherein an alignment reference surface for aligning and mounting the light source lamp is formed on the reflector. According to the invention, the light source device can be assembled by mounting the light source lamp apart from the alignment reference surface by a predetermined distance with respect to, for example, the X-axis, Y-axis, and Z-axis, respectively. That is, in mounting the light source lamp to the reflector, it is possible to assemble the light source device without fine adjustment of the mounting position of the light source lamp while the light source lamp is lit.
