    摘要： A harness for an upper extremity below-elbow prosthesis. The harness includes a humeral cuff having medial and lateral pivot arms configured to removably attach to the socket of a below-elbow prosthesis. The humeral cuff enables a user to suspend the prosthesis without the need of a shoulder strap/harness or body harness. A cable system is affixed to the pivot arms and includes a wheel coupling the pivot arms to the control arm of a hook of the below-elbow prosthesis, thereby enabling users to operate the hook by simple flexion and extension of their arm.

    摘要： Modular convertible furniture systems include a pair of similar open-ended box frame assemblies which are nestable one within the other. A pair of slotted support rails are attached pivotally at respective opposing corners of one of the box frame assemblies so as to be movable between raised and lowered positions. When in a raised position, the rails provide a support for a solid board plank thereby becoming a seat back (e.g., for a chair, love seat, or sofa-type arrangement). When the rails are in a lowered position substantially parallel to the ground, the two box frame assemblies may be oriented back-to-back so as to provide a support for a mattress thereby converting the structure into a bed arrangement, for example. The box frame assemblies can be positioned on different sides and ends thereby allowing formation of tables and/or shelving as may be desired.

    摘要： A scope for a firearm can be used for a gun sight. The scope comprises a main tube that contains imaging optics therein. In certain embodiments, the main tube comprises a single continuous tubular body extending uninterrupted from a widened proximal end portion through a narrow medial portion to a widened distal end portion. An objective is disposed in the widened distal end portion of the tubular body and an ocular is disposed in the widened proximal end portion of the continuous tubular body. A zoom selector ring is located about a circumference of the narrow medial portion of the continuous tubular body. The zoom selector ring can be used to provide optical zoom. In one arrangement, the zoom selector ring includes a plurality of segments arranged circumferentially about the circumference of the narrow medial portion. A flexible erector assembly that includes erector optics may be included in the main tube. This flexible erector assembly may flex to adjust windage and elevation.

    摘要： A stationary rowing machine or rowing simulator, were the cockpit components of an elite rowing shell are used where practical. The motion of the rower as occurs on the water is then transferred by a ¼ size pulley that is located roughly 18′ outboard of the oarlock . The pulley is connected to a cable transferring the rowing motion to bicycle wheels, at stern and bow ends, that sit on rollers with grooves that detain the tires. The rowing machine frame and roller frame are coupled together in a way that causes them both to swivel on a radius at the proximity of that occurring in an elite rowing single. The spinning motion of the wheels offers counter-balance allowing the rower to achieve balance. The rowers weight rests on the wheels replicating the weight of the rower as it would rest on the hull of the boat running on the water.
