    摘要: An organic light emitting display which is constructed with a TFT substrate having an insulating substrate and a TFT that has at least a source electrode and a drain electrode, a lower electrode formed on the TFT substrate and connected to one of source/drain electrodes, an insulating layer having an opening that exposes a portion of the lower electrode, an organic thin film layer formed on the exposed portion of the lower electrode and the insulating layer, and an upper electrode formed on the organic thin film layer, wherein the insulating layer has a taper angle less than 40° at an edge of the opening, and a step less than or equal to 3,000 Å is formed between the lower electrode and the organic thin film layer. The organic light emitting display can prevent device failure.

    摘要: A donor substrate for a full-color organic electroluminescent display device includes: a base film; a light-to-heat conversion layer formed on the base film; and a transfer layer formed on the light-to-heat conversion layer. The transfer layer is an organic layer including a patterned organic electroluminescent material. Accordingly, it is possible to manufacture a high definition and large-sized organic electroluminescent display device in which misalignment does not occur upon forming an emission layer. The donor substrate and a full-color organic electroluminescent display device including the donor substrate are manufactured by methods according to the present invention.

A buffer layer is formed on the light-to-heat conversion layer. The surface roughness of the buffer layer is increased by treating the surface of the buffer layer. A transfer layer is formed on the surface-treated buffer layer. By using the donor substrate, a patterning process can be performed better during the fabrication of the OLED.

    摘要: An organic electroluminescence display device made by a laser induced thermal imaging process has a substrate having first and second electrode layers, and an organic layer having red, green, and blue light-emitting layers between the electrode layers. Thermosetting light-emitting materials are used to form the red, green, and blue light-emitting layers, and a laser is then selectively irradiated onto a light-to-heat conversion layer formed on the substrate to deliver heat energy converted from light energy through the light-to-heat conversion layer to the thermosetting light-emitting materials so that curing is progressed to form patterned light-emitting layers. In accordance with the fabrication method of the present invention, the light-emitting materials may be patterned using a laser, thereby fabricating a large scaled organic electroluminescence display device and simplifying the process by not using a mask when the light-emitting layers are formed.
