摘要: A specific image is first recorded according to a plurality of dot recording schemes which have an identical resolution and which are different at least in sub-scan feed operations. Then a desired dot recording scheme is selected corresponding to a desired recorded image which has been selected out of a plurality of recorded images recorded according to the plurality of dot recording schemes, and scheme selection information for specifying the desired dot recording scheme is stored into a rewritable non-volatile memory. In actual image recording, the scheme selection information stored in the non-volatile memory is read out, and a desired image is recorded on a recording medium according to the desired dot recording scheme specified by the scheme selection information.

摘要: There is provided a plurality of dot printing modes each defining printing operations during main- and sub-scanning. A preferable dot printing mode is selected according to mode selection information that is predetermined to specify the preferable printing mode, and printing is executed according to the preferable dot printing mode specified by the mode selection information. The plurality of dot printing modes are divided into a plurality of printing mode groups according to combination of print resolution and printing speed. The mode selection information specifies the preferable dot printing mode for each printing mode group. One of the plurality of printing mode groups is selected in initial settings of the printing apparatus.

摘要: A specific image is first recorded according to a plurality of dot recording schemes which have an identical resolution and which are different at least in sub-scan feed operations. Then a desired dot recording scheme is selected corresponding to a desired recorded image which has been selected out of a plurality of recorded images recorded according to the plurality of dot recording schemes, and scheme selection information for specifying the desired dot recording scheme is stored into a rewritable non-volatile memory. In actual image recording, the scheme selection information stored in the non-volatile memory is read out, and a desired image is recorded on a recording medium according to the desired dot recording scheme specified by the scheme selection information.

摘要: A sub-carriage includes a first head mounting portion and a second head mounting portion. The second head mounting portion includes at least a portion of constitution members of an adjustment mechanism which adjusts a position of the second head, a first recording head of one side of the same set is fixed in a state of being positioned to the first head mounting portion so that the nozzles are disposed in a defined position, and a second recording head of the other side is fixed to the second head mounting portion in a state where the relative position to the first recording head is defined by the adjustment mechanism based on a landing position in a recording medium of ink ejected from predetermined nozzles of the second recording head with respect to a landing position in a recording medium of ink ejected from predetermined nozzles of the first head.

摘要: A liquid ejecting apparatus of the present invention has a translationally movable member configured to be connected to a liquid container inserted in a container mounting unit, in link motion with a straight operation of the liquid container when inserting a liquid feed needle through a liquid feed port of the liquid container, translationally advance in the direction parallel with the straight operation, an apparatus side fixing structure for releasably restricting the movement of the liquid container in the mounting state in the pull-out direction, having a stopper pin to be stopped in a guide groove of a container side fixing structure formed in the liquid container, and apparatus side positioning structures installed in the translationally movable member, in cooperation with a container side positioning structure formed in the liquid container, for positioning the liquid container in a predetermined position to the translationally movable member. The liquid ejecting apparatus capable of connecting the liquid container to the translationally movable member arranged in the container mounting unit with high positioning precision is provided.

摘要: A liquid charging method for charging a liquid container with a liquid, the liquid container being provided with a piezo-electric device for detecting a consumption condition of the liquid in said liquid container, the piezo-electric device being provided with a cavity connecting to an inside of the liquid container, has the steps of: reducing a pressure in the liquid container to a pressure lower than atmospheric pressure; and charging the liquid container with the liquid. The liquid container requiring no complicated seal structure for precisely detecting the consumption condition of a liquid by using the piezo-electric device is charged with a liquid without internally leaving air bubbles.
