    Abstract: A multilayer electronic component that includes a plurality of stacked dielectric layers, each of the plurality of stacked dielectric layers having a plurality of crystal grains, at least some of the plurality of crystal grains having a trap portion therein, and at least one element selected from the group consisting of Ni, Cu, Pt, Sn, Pd and Ag is present locally in the trap portion; and a plurality of internal electrode layers arranged between adjacent dielectric layers of the plurality of stacked dielectric layers.

    Abstract: A multilayer ceramic electronic component that includes a multilayer body including a dielectric layer and an internal electrode layer that are layered. The dielectric layer contains a plurality of dielectric particles containing Ba and Ti. The plurality of dielectric particles contain a first concentrated region containing a first element and located at an interface with an adjacent dielectric particle of the plurality of dielectric particles, and a second concentrated region containing the first element and present at an interface within 50 nm from the first concentrated region.

    Abstract: A multilayer electronic component includes a multilayer body including dielectric layers and inner electrode layers. Each of the dielectric layers includes first crystal grains defining and functioning as plate-shaped objects that have an average thickness of less than or equal to about 300 nm and an average aspect ratio of more than or equal to about 5, each of the inner electrode layers includes second crystal grains defining and functioning as plate-shaped objects that have an average thickness of less than or equal to about 150 nm and an average aspect ratio of more than or equal to about 5, where an aspect ratio is represented by a ratio of a major axis of each plate-shaped object to a thickness of the plate-shaped object with the major axis of the plate-shaped object being orthogonal or substantially orthogonal to a thickness direction of the plate-shaped object.
