    Abstract: An electro-optic modulator is provided, which includes a waveguide layer and an electrode layer, where the electrode layer includes: a plurality of first sub-electrodes and a plurality of first connecting electrodes; a plurality of second sub-electrodes and a plurality of second connecting electrodes; a plurality of third sub-electrodes and a plurality of third connecting electrodes; and a plurality of fourth sub-electrodes and a plurality of fourth connecting electrodes, where the plurality of first sub-electrodes and the plurality of fourth sub-electrodes are grounded, the plurality of second sub-electrodes and the plurality of third sub-electrodes receive differential signals, the plurality of first sub-electrodes and the plurality of second sub-electrodes form a first electric field therebetween, and the plurality of third sub-electrodes and the plurality of fourth sub-electrodes form a second electric field therebetween; and the waveguide layer includes a first waveguide arm and a second waveguide arm.

    Abstract: A spot-size converter is provided. The spot-size converter includes a first end face and a second end face, and further includes a substrate, and an isolation layer, a first waveguide and a covering layer which are located on a side of the substrate. The first waveguide includes a flat-plate layer and a ridge layer. The flat-plate layer includes a first wide end extending to the first end face and a first narrow end extending to the second end face or having a distance from the second end face, and the flat-plate layer has a width decreasing in a gradient from the first wide end to the first narrow end and includes a first equal-width portion adjacent to the first narrow end. The ridge layer includes a second wide end extending to the first end face and a second narrow end having a distance from the first narrow end.

    Abstract: Provided are an electro-optic modulator and an electro-optic device. The electro-optic modulator includes: a substrate; an isolation layer located on the substrate; a thin film layer, used to form a first optical waveguide and a second optical waveguide, an arrangement of the first optical waveguide and the second optical waveguide causing the thin film layer to include a first edge region, a first optical waveguide, an intermediate region, a second optical waveguide, and a second edge region; and an electrode, comprising including a first ground electrode, a signal electrode and a second ground electrode which are sequentially arranged at intervals. The first ground electrode at least includes a first main electrode, the second ground electrode at least includes a second main electrode, and the signal electrode at least includes a third main electrode.

    Abstract: An electro-optic modulator and an electro-optic device are provided. The electro-optic modulator includes: a first optical waveguide, a second optical waveguide, and a traveling wave electrode, where the traveling wave electrode includes a first grounding electrode, a first signal electrode, a second signal electrode, and a second grounding electrode that are spaced apart from each other; and the first optical waveguide and the second optical waveguide are both arranged between the first signal electrode and the second signal electrode. The electro-optic modulator has a plurality of extension sections along a extension direction thereof. The plurality of extension sections include a plurality of straight sections and at least one curved section. Each curved section is provided between two adjacent straight sections.
