Abstract:
A communication system is disclosed comprising a gateway connecting a source base station and a target base station. The gateway receives a message from the source base station initiating a handover of a mobile device from the source to the target base station. The received message comprises a security context (an NCC-KeNB pair and/or a KeNB*) for securing communications with the mobile device, and for deriving a further key for securing subsequent communications with the mobile device. The gateway generates and sends, to the target base station, a message requesting the target base station to carry out a handover, the message comprising the security context.
Abstract:
This mobile communication system has a portable terminal, a base station that wirelessly communicates with the portable terminal, a gateway device that connects the base station to a core network, and a core network device that is installed in the core network and that performs mobility management of the portable terminal. The core network device sends to the gateway device information for determining whether Selected Internet Protocol Traffic Offload (SIPTO) has been activated. The gateway device receives the information from the core network device.
Abstract:
A base station apparatus (1) is configured to send a first information element to an inter-base-station gateway (3). The first information element explicitly or implicitly indicates whether a relay operation is necessary. The relay operation is an operation in which the inter-base-station gateway (3) relays a data packet destined for or sent from a radio terminal between the base station apparatus (1) and another base station (2). It is thus, for example, possible to contribute to enabling a base station or an inter-base-station gateway to select whether a relay operation by the inter-base-station gateway should be performed at the time of an inter-base-station handover.
Abstract:
A base station includes a storage unit stores a neighbour relation table and a processing unit. The processing unit receives service information of a neighbour cell to its own cell, the service information being transmitted by another base station forming the neighbour cell to the own cell, the service information including at least one of an information element indicating whether the another base station has a function of a wireless LAN (Local Area Network) base station and an information element indicating whether the neighbour cell is a cell for dynamically adding a communication capacity. The processing unit registers the service information of the neighbour cell with the neighbour relation table.
Abstract:
In the case where a wireless terminal conducts a handover from a first device to a second device, a communication device of this exemplary embodiment performs communication with the second device and a core network node, in order to notify an appropriate device of information regarding the transfer path of data. The communication device receives control information from the core network node upon the handover. The control information is information regarding the transfer path of data to be transferred from the first device to the second device.
Abstract:
A first base station (121) is configured to notify a second base station (122) of frame offset information indicating a frame offset equivalent to a first difference between a start timing of a radio frame in a first base station (121) and PPS in a wireless manner or via a backhaul.
Abstract:
A wireless communication system includes a first NodeB that forms a cell; and a relay apparatus to which the first NodeB connects and which relays data transmitted and received between the first NodeB and a core network. The first NodeB broadcasts identification information on the relay apparatus to which the first NodeB connects.
Abstract:
An increase in communication load in a network due to increasing messages for requesting information is suppressed. When a message for requesting information and a response message thereto are sent and received between a communication device (N1-Nn) that is an information requester and an information provider (Nx) on a network (NW) via a communication device (1), the communication device (1) stores the information acquired from the response message in a response information storage section (4), and when any communication device requests at least part of the same information, a control section (5) creates a response message including the requested information and responds.
Abstract:
In order to make it possible to provide good communication service when unlicensed spectrum is used, a terminal apparatus according to an example aspect of the present disclosure includes an information obtaining unit configured to obtain quality related information related to achievement status of communication service quality for unlicensed spectrum in unlicensed spectrum, and a communication processing unit configured to transmit the quality related information to a base station or a core network node.
Abstract:
To acquire, by a core network node, information necessary for control of a fixed broadband access network in more cases. An apparatus according to the present disclosure includes a communication processing unit configured to transmit, to a core network node, a first message when a wireless communication apparatus that communicates with a terminal apparatus communicating with a base station is changed from a first wireless communication apparatus to a second wireless communication apparatus, the first message including address information of the second wireless communication apparatus and transport identification information of the second wireless communication apparatus.
