Abstract:
A method for use by a communication device, wherein the method includes the steps of: receiving a handover command from one of a plurality of network cells which provides a communication service for the communication device, creating measurement data upon receiving the handover command, logging the measurement data and the end of the measurement after an execution condition to perform handover to another one of the plurality of network cells is fulfilled, and transmitting the logged measurement data to the other one of the plurality of network cells.
Abstract:
Example embodiments of the present disclosure relate to devices, methods, apparatuses and computer readable storage media for a primary secondary cell (PSCell) change failure. In example embodiments, a master network device receives, from a source secondary network device, a first request for a change of a terminal device from the source secondary network device to a target secondary network device. The master network device receives, from the source secondary network device, an identification of a source PSCell operated by the source secondary network device and serving the terminal device prior to the first request. The master network device further receives, from the terminal device, an indication of a radio link failure of the terminal device in a PSCell and transmits the indication of the radio link failure to the source secondary network device along with the identification of the source PSCell.
Abstract:
There is provided alleviation to erroneous activation and de-activation of secondary cells carrying a physical uplink control channel. User equipment in a mobile communications network is defined serving cells comprising a primary cell and secondary cells. At least one physical uplink control channel is associated with a secondary cell. A secondary cell defined for transmission of the physical uplink control channel is de-activated. A secondary cell is activated, when at least one secondary cell defined for transmission of physical uplink control channel is active.
Abstract:
A user equipment uses extended discontinuous reception (DRX) when the user equipment is in connected mode with a communication network. The extended DRX comprises extended DRX cycles and offsets, which are based on a value of a specific DRX cycle. The user equipment receives (S31) signaling from the communication network, the signaling comprising an extended DRX cycle indication and offset value, calculates (S32) an extended DRX cycle from the extended DRX cycle indication and an offset from the offset value, using the value of the specific DRX cycle, and executes (S33) the DRX when the user equipment is in the connected mode with the extended DRX cycle calculated and the offset calculated.
Abstract:
A technique is provided for retransmitting data in a dual connectivity network in which a mobile station (MS) is connected to a first base station (BS) via a first radio link and to a second BS via a second radio link, including sending, by a first protocol entity of the MS, a protocol data unit (PDU) to a first entity of a second protocol of the MS for transmission to the first BS via the first radio link, detecting a trigger condition at the MS associated with the PDU, and re-sending, by the first protocol entity of the MS, the PDU to a second entity of the second protocol of the MS for transmission to the second BS via the second radio link.
Abstract:
A method includes transmitting a paging indicator indicating to user equipment assigned to one or more groups that the user equipment are to attempt to receive paging messages including paging information targeted to at least one of the one or more groups; and transmitting in a channel the paging information in the paging messages. Another method includes receiving a paging indicator indicating a user equipment is to attempt to receive paging messages including paging information targeted to at least one of one or more groups; and receiving from a channel the paging information in the paging messages. A method includes sending a request message to user equipment assigned to one or more groups, the request message comprising an indication to cause the user equipment to read device trigger information in a system broadcast message; and sending the device trigger information in the system broadcast message.
Abstract:
Improved mechanisms for wireless cellular access using coverage extension techniques are described. A UE needing to use coverage extension to request access to a prospective serving cell detects cells (other than the prospective serving cell) on its frequency, and then investigates each such cell (for example, by attempting to read its system information block and, if the system information block can be read, determining if the cell supports access using coverage extension. If detected cells do not support coverage extension, the UE does not use coverage extension techniques to request access, but if all detected cells support coverage extension, the UE requests access using coverage extension techniques.

Example embodiments of the present disclosure relate to devices, methods, apparatuses and computer readable storage media for de-configuration of mobility management. In example embodiments, a first network device transmits, to a second network device, an instruction of de-configuration of mobility management for a terminal device. Moreover, the first network device obtains, from the second network device, an identification of a serving cell for the terminal device.
Abstract:
A method for use by a communication device, the method including the steps of receiving a handover, HO, command from a serving network cell of a plurality of network cells which provides a communication service for the communication device, acquiring current handover related information, logging the current handover related information only if a predetermined condition is fulfilled, wherein the predetermined condition is a condition that the current handover related information is different from previous handover related information, wherein the previous handover related information was acquired and reported by the communication device before receiving the HO command.
