Abstract: A method, computer program, and apparatus for causing an apparatus to perform: determining, by an RLC layer of the apparatus from an indication received from a MAC and/or PHY layer of the apparatus, that a retransmission procedure of a data packet comprising at least one service data unit of the set of service data units has been completed without the at least one service data unit being successfully received; causing at least one of a first RLC entity or a second RLC entity maintained by the apparatus to determine whether at least one trigger event occurs based on the determining; and when the first RLC entity and/or the second RLC entity determines that the at least one trigger event has occurred, signalling to a transmitter of the data packet an indication that the at least one service data unit has not been successfully received by the RLC layer.
