Abstract: For a network node in wireless communication with a UE, filling a TB such that at least two data with different reliability requirements are mapped to separate CBs. The network node applies different MCSs to at least the separate CBs comprising the data with different reliability requirements within the transport block. The network node transmits the TB toward the UE after the different MCSs have been applied. The UE can use a similar technique in UL in order to transmit. The UE may also receive the TB from the network node. The UE decodes and performs error checking of the CBs based on the corresponding MCSs that were applied.

Abstract: Techniques for determining a discontinuous reception configuration are disclosed. A user equipment may receive a discontinuous reception configuration from a network entity. The user equipment may select one or more discontinuous reception parameters to modify based at least in part on the received indication of a particular data burst class to be transmitted. The user equipment may receive a data burst and a selection command from the network entity. The user equipment selects one or more discontinuous reception parameters to modify based at least in part on the received indication of whether to apply the one or more adaptive parameters after the transmission of a current data burst is complete.

Abstract: Slave units of a mobile communication system each determine (S907), out of a predefined sliding codebook of Q unique radio frame configurations, a radio frame configuration for communicating with user equipments, and transmit (S907), to a master unit of a cluster which the slave units belong to, a request to use the determined radio frame configuration. The predefined sliding codebook comprises sub-codebooks each grouping together radio frame configurations of the Q unique radio frame configurations, that share the same downlink-to-uplink subframe ratio but with a phase offset of the radio frame configurations. The master unit identifies (S909) a common sub-codebook out of the sub-codebooks of the predefined sliding codebook, that comprises most of the determined radio frame configurations indicated in the requests received from the slave units, and, for each of the determined radio frame configurations, selects (S911, S915, S917, S921) a radio frame configuration out of the Q unique radio frame configurations, that corresponds to a sub-codebook of the determined radio frame configuration and minimizes an average misalignment with a radio frame configuration of the common sub-codebook.

Abstract: The present invention introduces a method and a system for base station cross-channel measurement control and configuration. A centralized unit (CU) (301, 601) of a base station configures (304, 305) at least two distributed units (DU) (302, 303, 602, 604) with DU sounding signaling transmission objects and DU cross-link measurement objects. The first DU (302) transmits (306) a sounding signal through an air interface (308) which the second DU (303) measures (307). The second DU (303) reports (309) this to the CU (301). Then the second DU (303) transmits (311) a sounding signal through an air interface (312) which the first DU (302) measures (310). The first DU (302) reports (313) this to the CU (301). Beam-forming can be applied as well. Also neighboring operators can be found by inter-frequency measurements of the sounding signals or Synchronization Signals. The CU (301, 601) can control the DUs (302, 303, 602, 604) with appropriate TDD switching patterns based on the found cross-link interference levels.

Abstract: Various communication systems may benefit from improved transmissions. For example, a network transmission may benefit from improved throughput and efficiency in non-schedule multiple access communications. A method includes selecting at a user equipment operating in a non-scheduled access scheme at least one of a first codeword or a second codeword based on an amount of data. The data in the non-scheduled access scheme can be spread according to a spreading sequence. The method also includes determining a transport block size for at least one of the first codeword or the second codeword. In addition, the method includes transmitting the data from the user equipment to a network node using at least one of the first codeword or the second codeword.
