    Abstract: There is provided an apparatus including circuitry for, at a user equipment, receiving, from a network node, configuration parameters defining resources associated with a plurality of signals for transmission of a first message of a random access procedure, obtaining signal measurements for the plurality of signals, determining a number of transmissions of the first message for a first signal and a second signal from the plurality of signals based on the obtained signal measurements, choosing resources associated with one of the first signal and the second signal for transmission of the first message, based at least on the determined number of transmissions of the first message for the respective signals and the obtained signal measurements and performing transmission of the first message of the random access procedure on at least part of the chosen resources.

    Abstract: In accordance with an example embodiment of the present invention, a method comprising: selecting, by a user equipment, a subset of linear combination coefficients from a linearized two-dimensional matrix having columns of frequency domain components and rows of spatial beams components for channel state information determination, wherein the number of linear combination coefficients in the subset is less than all of the linear combination coefficients; determining indication comprising information associated with column indices of the selected subset of linear combination coefficients from the linearized two-dimensional matrix, wherein the indication excludes the index of the column with lowest index of the linearized two-dimensional matrix; determining compressed channel state information comprising locations in the linearized two-dimensional matrix of the subset of linear combination coefficients and corresponding values of the linear combination coefficients at those locations; and reporting, from the user equipment toward the base station, the compressed channel state information.

    Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to methods, devices, apparatuses and computer readable storage media for Uplink Control Information (UCI) design. The method comprises determining, at a terminal device, a matrix comprising a set of non-zero linear combination coefficients for quantizing a channel between the terminal device and a network device, the matrix having spatial components and frequency components; shifting the frequency components of the matrix circularly, such that a target coefficient of the set of non-zero linear combination coefficients is located in a frequency component with a predetermined index of the frequency components in a shifted matrix; generating a first indication indicating the spatial component associated with the target coefficient in the matrix; and transmitting, to the network device, uplink control information comprising the first indication. In this way, a new solution for designing the UCI may reduce the overhead for reporting the parameters in the UCI.

    Abstract: Where large transport blocks are rate-matched and transmitted on each PUSCH segment using different redundancy versions (RVs), RV cycling with a small number of PUSCH segments might not cover the whole codeword, and/or rate-matching a large TBS across many PUSCH segments into the resource of a single PUSCH segment may lead to an effective coding rate of the self-decodable redundancy versions that is too high. To avoid these issues, the starting position of one or more RVs may be shifted by setting the starting position of a current RV to be the same as an ending position of a previous position, or by scaling the starting position by a value. Alternatively, these issues may be avoided by setting a new starting position for an RV based on the gap from the end of a previous RV to the start of a current RV.
