    Abstract: Techniques of ensuring that the survival time requirement is fulfilled include applying, by the UE (transmitter), a plurality of different logical channel (LCH) mapping restrictions to the packets on the same data radio bearer (DRB). In some implementations, the LCH mapping restrictions to be applied depend on the SN of the PDCP PDU to be processed. For example, the first LCH mapping restriction may be limited to radio resource with lower reliability (e.g., with the first LCH mapping restriction, the data from this LCH can only be mapped to a CG configuration without repetition and/or high MCS), while the second LCH mapping restriction may be limited to radio resources with extremely high reliability (e.g., with the first LCH mapping restriction, the data from this LCH can only be mapped to a CG configuration with repetitions and/or low MCS).

    Abstract: A method, apparatus and computer program are disclosed that perform in a wireless network: monitoring radio network connectivity release requests received from a wireless device of a given subscriber of the wireless network; determining a radio network connectivity release request frequency based on the radio network connectivity release requests received from the wireless device; receiving a current radio network connectivity release request from the wireless device; determining whether the radio network connectivity release request frequency meets a first threshold and: if yes, taking first corrective action to mitigate network load by excessive radio network connectivity release requests.

    Abstract: Various communication systems may benefit from improved network access. For example, communication systems may benefit from deriving a radio network temporary identification at both a user equipment and a base station, without requiring additional uplink signaling. A method, in certain embodiments, may include sending a short identification from a user equipment to a base station during a contention based access instance. The short identification is generated based on an initial cell radio network temporary identification. The method may also include receiving at the user equipment a user equipment radio network temporary identification from the base station. The user equipment radio network temporary identification is based on the short identification. In addition, the method may include generating at the user equipment a subsequent cell radio network temporary identification based at least on the short identification and the received user equipment radio network temporary identification.
