摘要: Partially diffusion-alloyed steel powder is subjected to compression molding and then sintered to form a sintered metal material (10′), and a raceway surface (2) is formed on the sintered metal material (10′) through plastic working, to thereby manufacture a raceway ring (1). With at least a risk volume of the raceway ring (1) being adopted as a prediction volume, a square root √areamax of the maximum pore envelope area estimated to be present at least in the prediction volume is set to be less than 50 μm. With this, there is provided a raceway ring for a rolling bearing that has an increased rolling fatigue life at low cost.

摘要: Provided is a method of manufacturing a machine part having a radial crushing strength of 120 MPa or more, including: a compression molding step of compressing raw material powder including, as a main component, metal powder that is capable of forming an oxide coating and has a pure iron powder content ratio of 95 mass % or more, to thereby obtain a green compact (10) having a predetermined shape; and a coating forming step of causing the metal powder to react with an oxidizing gas while heating the green compact (10) at a temperature lower than a sintering temperature of the metal powder in an oxidizing gas atmosphere, to thereby obtain a reinforced green compact (11) in which the oxide coating (5) is formed between particles of the metal powder.

摘要: A machine part (an oil-impregnated bearing (1)) is obtained by subjecting a green compact to heat treatment in an oxidizing atmosphere (for example, in air), the green compact being obtained by compacting and forming raw material powder containing iron powder and copper powder. Iron particles (10) and copper particles (20) are bonded to each other with oxide films (11) and (21) formed on surfaces of the particles. The oxide films (11) and (21) each have a maximum thickness of 1 μm or less in a region at a depth of 300 μm±10 μm from a surface of the green compact.
