    摘要: There is disclosed a sliding member which slidably contacts an counterpart member with friction and in which a friction force is varied without changing a contact pressure. A sliding member 11 is formed by covering a steel plate with sliding materials 13a to 13e different in friction coefficient. In this case, when a sliding direction of the counterpart member 14 is set to directions of arrows A and B, a sliding material 13a of a low friction coefficient is disposed in the middle, and the sliding materials 13b to 13e are arranged so that the friction coefficient gradually increases toward both terminal sides in the directions of arrows A and B of the sliding material 13a. According to the sliding member 11, the friction force increases as the counterpart member 14 moves in the directions of arrows A and B from the middle.

    摘要: An Oldham ring of a scroll type compressor having a swivel scroll of aluminum alloy. The Oldham ring is of cast aluminum alloy and has a pair of projections (a) serving to engage with a pair of guide grooves formed in a surface of the swivel scroll adjacent to a crankshaft. Sliding surfaces of the projections which are to be brought into contact with inner surfaces of the guide grooves are each covered with a metal sheet made of a metal which is different from aluminum and aluminum alloys. It is recommended that the metal sheet has the following thickness (t): t=0.5-2.5 mm, T/20.ltoreq.t.ltoreq.T/4 (where, T represents the widthwise dimension of the projection in the circumferential direction of the Oldham ring). The metal sheet is united with the Oldham ring by insert casting.

    摘要: One or two submarine gates 23 are located at portions of a mold corresponding to one or both ends of a tip seal to be molded. Synthetic resin is injected through the submarine gates 23. When the mold is opened after the synthetic resin is solidified, a molded product is cut off and separated by shearing from a runner 22 at a tip 23a of each of the submarine gates 23. Thus, no convex portion is formed as a gate trace on the end of the tip seal as a molded product when it is cut off. When the tip seal having no convex portion on the end thereof is inserted into the mounting groove of a scroll type compressor, the tip seal exhibits an excellent sealing property. With the aforesaid method, a tip seal excellent in a sealing property can be easily manufactured.
