摘要: A method of producing a copper-base sintered bearing material is provided so that it is sintered with high thermal efficiency. As a heat source for a sintering furnace, an electric resistance heater which heats a furnace atmosphere and/or a high frequency induction heater, is provided, and also a microwave oscillating device which irradiates microwaves to copper alloy powder to be sintered is provided therewith. A steel sheet, which is a steel backing metal, can be heated by an electric resistance heater and/or a high frequency induction heater, and the copper alloy powder can be heated directly by microwaves.

摘要: There are provided a copper-based sintered sliding material comprising a steel back metal layer, and a sintered layer made of Cu or a Cu-based alloy which is bonded onto the steel back metal layer, the steel back metal layer having a hardness not less than 160 Hv and an elongation not less than 10%, the sintered layer having a hardness not more than 130 Hv and crystal grains each provided with a grain size not more than 45 &mgr;m, a method of producing the sliding material, and a sliding bearing formed of the sliding material.

摘要: Disclosed is a copper alloy sliding material having a metal structure wherein intermetallic compounds exist adjacently to Pb-phase islands and/or Bi-phase islands. Because intermetallic compounds exist between the matrix and the Pb phase and/or the Bi phase, the material can have improved anti-seizure property, since, under load or due to wear, the surface of the material has recessions at the soft Pb and/or Bi phase and the matrix with respect to the intermetallic compounds.

摘要: Disclosed is a composite sliding material consisting of a back metal, a porous alloy layer which is formed on the surface of the back metal by sintering a copper alloy powder, and a resin layer which is formed so as to impregnate into and cover the porous alloy layer. The alloy layer consists of sintered copper alloy particles and has a thickness of superimposed plural particles. The copper alloy powder has an average particle size of 25 to 100 &mgr;m so that the composite sliding material has smallersliding-contact resistance.

摘要: In order to provide a plain bearing excellent in the anti-seizure property, a bearing metal layer is provided with a plurality of recesses different in depth on the inner surface thereof so as to form an uneven textured portion thereon, the recesses being filled with a soft overlay layer. At the beginning of the use, the overlay layer develops the conformability. When the wear proceeds to the wear level I so that the shallow recesses disappear, an intermediate layer or the bearing metal layer forming protrusions is exposed and form a condition in which the overlay is mixed. Furthermore, when the wear proceeds to the wear level II, the shallow recesses disappear while the deep recesses remain, so that the condition hardly to cause the seizure is maintained.

摘要: There is disclosed a sliding bearing provided with a sliding bearing layer and a back metal layer bonded to the outer face of the sliding bearing layer, the back face of which back metal layer being coated with a phosphate coating at a portion where fretting wear is apt to occur while coated with a coating of a thermally good conductor at another portion where no phosphate coating is provided, whereby seizure resistance as well as fretting resistance is improved because the dispersing of heat can be improved by the coating of the thermally good conductor.

摘要: In a sliding bearing in which a bearing metal layer is covered with a coating layer, the coating layer comprises a thermosetting resin as a base resin and soft metal particles dispersed in the base resin in an amount of 0.1 to 10% by volume based on the volume of the coating layer. The soft metal is harder than the base resin and has a higher thermal conductivity than the base resin, so that the wear resistance and anti-seizure property of the sliding bearing are improved. In particular, when the soft metal particles are of copper, silver, tin, zinc or the like, the soft metal particles react with the sulfur contained in a lubricating oil to form a thin metal sulfide film excellent in lubricity on the surface of the particles, whereby the coefficient of friction is made smaller.
