Abstract: Provided is a production method for a layered product in which a metal film can be formed on the surface of a polyarylene sulfide (PAS) molded article with a high adhesive force by a simple step. Further, provided are: a polyarylene sulfide resin composition and a molded article that can be used in the layered product in which a metal film can be formed on the surface of the PAS molded article with a high adhesive force by a simpler step; and production methods therefor. More specifically, provided are: a polyarylene sulfide resin composition obtained by blending a polyarylene sulfide resin, a thermoplastic elastomer and/or a hydrolyzable thermoplastic resin, a carbonate, and a polyolefin-based wax; a molded article which is obtained by melt-molding the polyarylene sulfide resin composition and in which the surface is roughened; a layered product having a metal plating layer; and production methods therefor.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are compositions comprising: a. from about 30 wt. % to about 60 wt. % of a polyphenylene sulfide (PPS); from greater than 20 wt. % to about 35 wt. % of a polyphenylene oxide (PPO); from about 0.01 wt. % to about 12 wt. % of a compatibilizer package, wherein the compatibilizer package comprises an ethylene-glycidyl methacrylate co-polymer, a styrene rubber copolymer, and an alicyclic saturated hydrocarbon resin present in a ratio of about 0.5:1:2 to about 3:1:4; and from about 20 wt. % to about 50 wt. % of an inorganic filler, wherein the combined weight percent value of all components does not exceed 100 wt. %, and all weight percent values are based on the total weight of the composition, and wherein the composition exhibits a plating adhesion of at least 5B when tested in accordance with an ASTM D3359 cross hatch adhesion test.

Abstract: A polymer composition containing an impact modifier and a fibrous filler dispersed within a polymer matrix is provided. The polymer matrix contains a high performance thermoplastic polymer that exhibits a deflection temperature under load of about 40° C. or more as determined in accordance with ISO 75-2:2013 at a load of 1.8 MPa and a melting temperature of about 140° C. or more. The polymer composition exhibits a thermal shock resistance value of about 800 or more.

Abstract: A dual-curable sealant composition includes a polysulfide having an —SH group, a metal oxide catalyst, and an alkyl-borane amine catalyst. A cured sealant is also formed from the dual-curable sealant composition. Moreover, a dual-cured sealant is formed that includes the polymerization product of the polysulfide reacted in the presence of the metal oxide catalyst and the alkylborane amine catalyst. Further, a dual-curable sealant system includes a first component including the polysulfide and the alkylborane amine catalyst and a second component including the metal oxide catalyst. An article is formed that includes a substrate and the cured sealant disposed on the substrate. Even further, a method of forming the dual-curable sealant composition includes the steps of providing the polysulfide, the alkylborane amine catalyst, and the metal oxide catalyst, and combining the polysulfide, the alkylborane amine catalyst, and the metal oxide catalyst to form the dual-curable composition.
