    摘要: A vinyl alcohol polymer with a side chain being a hydroxyalkyl group having 2 to 20 carbon atoms is disclosed. Conventional water-soluble vinyl alcohol polymers gives, where they have a high interfacial activity, an aqueous solution with much-foaming and hence a problem when used for commercial purposes. On the other hand, the vinyl alcohol polymer of the present invention gives, where it is water-soluble, an aqueous solution with less-foaming in spite of its high interfacial activity, and hence an excellent industrial applicability. The vinyl alcohol polymer of the present invention is useful as thermoplastic resin and dispersion stabilizer. In addition, the vinyl alcohol polymer of the present invention is usable for various purposes, e.g. surfactants for various uses, paper coating agent, quality-improving agent for paper such as paper ingredients and pigment binders, adhesive for wood, paper, aluminum foil and inorganic materials, binder for nonwoven fabric, paint, warp sizing agent, fiber-processingagent, sizing agent for hydrophobic fibers such as polyester fiber, various films and sheets, bottles and fibers.

    摘要: The present invention relates to an aqueous emulsion comprising a dispersant of a modified polyvinyl alcohol with an ethylene unit content of 2 to 9 mol % and a degree of hydrolysis of at least 95 mol %, a dispersoid of a polymer of an ethylenically unsaturated monomer, and a ratio (.eta.2 rpm/.eta.20 rpm) of Brookfield viscosity at 30.degree. C., 2 rpm (.eta.2 rpm) as against Brookfield viscosity at 30.degree. C., 20 rpm (.eta.20 rpm) being 1 to 1.8 when the latter viscosity (.eta.20 rpm) is adjusted to 5,000 to 10,000 mPa.multidot.S.The aqueous emulsion according to the present invention is excellent in structural viscosity (flowability, high speed application performance), provides coated layers with high water resistance and low-temperature stability, and can be suitably used extensively as an adhesive for paper, wood and plastics, as a binder for impregnated paper and non-woven products, as an additive for mortar, as a paint, and in paper and fiber processings.

    摘要: Disclosed herein is a paper coating agent which comprises a modified polyvinyl alcohol (A) containing 3 to 15 mol % of ethylene units and an alkali metal ion (B), with the ratio of component (A) to component (B) being 100:0.003 to 100:1 in parts by weight. Disclosed also herein is a heat-sensitive recording material which comprises a coating layer on a substrate, said coating layer comprising a modified polyvinyl alcohol containing 3 to 15 mol % of ethylene units.The paper coating agent of the present invention has such excellent solubility in boiling water that there is not a problem of insoluble matter in an aqueous solution of the coating agent. When applied for a paper surface coating agent, it gives coated paper without discoloration, superior, in surface strength, air barrier properties, and printability. When applied for a paper pigmented coating agent, it gives coated paper without discoloration, superior in water resistance and printability.The heat-sensitive recording material of the present invention is superior in color developing sensitivity, water resistance, oil resistance, plasticizer resistance, and PVC film resistance. Furthermore it is superior in high-speed printability and image resolution, and it can be used in the field, such as facsimile, where high-speed printing is required.

    摘要: According to the present invention, there are provided a process for producing a vinyl alcohol polymer comprising reaction of a vinyl ester polymer (A) having an epoxy group with a compound (B) having a thiol or thioester group and hydrolysis thereof, said hydrolysis being conducted during or after said reaction; and a process for producing a vinyl alcohol polymer comprising reaction of a vinyl ester polymer (C) having a thiol or thioester group with a compound (D) having an epoxy group and hydrolysis thereof, said hydrolysis being conducted during or after said reaction. According to the present invention, it is possible to efficiently introduce into PVA various functional groups having excellent reactivity, crosslinkability, ionic interactivity, water-solubility, interfacial physical properties, low-temperature flexibility, etc., under relatively mild reaction conditions. According to the present invention, in addition, it is possible to introduce into PVA such various functional groups, which could not be obtained by conventional methods.

The imaging system may include a data output circuit and image readout circuitry such as analog amplifiers, analog-to-digital converters, and memory circuits. The column randomizing multiplexers may include a first column randomizing multiplexer between the image sensor array and at least some of the image readout circuitry. The first column randomizing multiplexer may randomly connect columns of the image sensor array to the image readout circuitry. The connections made by the first column randomizing multiplexer may be randomized as each row of the image sensor array is read out. The column randomizing multiplexers may include a second column randomizing multiplexer between at least some of the image readout circuitry and the data output circuit. The second column randomizing multiplexer may reorder image data for the image readout circuitry.

    摘要: A motor drive control device for controlling the driving of a brushless motor includes position detecting units (e.g. sensors or Hall elements), a drive signal determining unit and a drive signal outputting unit (an output circuit). The position detecting units are disposed in positions apart from each other by an electric angle of 120 degrees and output position detection signals representing the position of the rotor with respect to the stator. The drive signal determining unit determines drive signals for driving the 3-phase drive coils on the basis of the position detection signals.
