摘要： Provided herein is a method for absorbing CO2 from a gas mixture. The method includes using an apparatus comprised of a first RPB unit and a second RPB unit. The first RPB unit and the second RPB unit are arranged to absorb CO2 in a first gas stream and a second gas stream, respectively. A liquid CO2-absorbent is supplied sequentially passing through the first RPB unit and the second RPB unit to absorb CO2 in the first gas stream and the second gas stream. The liquid CO2-absorbent is regenerated to produce a regenerated CO2-absorbent. The regenerated CO2-absorbent is transported to the first RPB unit.

摘要： A method for purifying polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) includes: providing or receiving initial PBT, in which oligomers and tetrahydrofuran are present; dissolving the initial PBT in hexafluoroisopropanol (HFIP) to form a solution, in which the oligomers are also dissolved in the HFIP; and contacting the solution with compressed CO2 at a temperature and a pressure, thereby precipitating the purified PBT, resulting from a large portion of the oligomers are still dissolved in the HFIP, in the operation the temperature is in a range of 20° C. to 35° C., and the pressure is in a range of 900 psi to 1400 psi. A device for purifying PBT is also provided.

摘要： A method and an apparatus of extracting lipids from microalgae are provided. In the method, pressurized carbon dioxide (CO2) is dissolved in a liquid alcohol to form a CO2-expanded alcohol solution at a pressure of about 400-1500 psi and a temperature of about 30-65° C. Next, the CO2-expanded alcohol solution contacts microalgae to extract the lipids from the microalgae. A method and an apparatus of preparing fatty acid esters from microalgae are disclosed as well.

摘要： The present invention discloses a method of applying electric arc furnace dust in chemical looping combustion process, and particularly a method of applying electric arc furnace dust in chemical looping combustion process without releasing of zinc vapor. The method of applying electric arc furnace dust in chemical looping combustion process comprises following steps: (1) providing an electric arc furnace dust and an inert support (Al2O3) and mixing the electric arc furnace dust and the inert support (Al2O3) to obtain a mixture of the electric arc furnace dust and the inert support (Al2O3); (2) calcining the mixture of the electric arc furnace dust and the inert support (Al2O3) with high temperature to obtain another mixture of Fe2O3, ZnAl2O4, and Al2O3; (3) applying the mixture of Fe2O3, ZnAl2O4, and Al2O3 as oxygen carrier and inert support in a chemical looping combustion process.
