Abstract: The invention relates to an integrated process for the eco-sustainable production of extra virgin olive oil and solid by-products rich in polyphenols, according to the principles of the circular economy. The multifunctional process starts from Olea europaea L., and produces an extra virgin olive oil (EVO) with a high content of hydroxytyrosol and derivatives, and wherein the stoned and de-oiled olive pomace leaving the mill from a two-phase controlled process, is directly transformed into a powder product useful in the food and nutraceutical field, with a high content of antioxidant active principles.
Even the leaves and apical twigs resulting from the olive harvest are treated directly in the mill to obtain a standardized powder product in the content of oleuropein, the bitter active ingredient of the fruit, a cardioprotective molecule with an antioxidant character.-

Abstract: The disclosure discloses a method for preparing functional grease through segmented solid-state fermentation of mixed fungi, and belongs to the field of edible oil processing. According to the disclosure, soybeans are used as a main fermentation substrate, for the requirements for different functional nutrition, the soybeans are matched with other oil seeds, fungus segmented solid-state fermentation is used and combined with a supercritical extraction fractionation technology, so that the purposes of improving the aftertaste of soybean oils and generating different flavors are achieved, and the nutritional value of the grease is improved. The fungus segmented solid-state fermentation of the disclosure can improve the oil yield, improve the fatty acid composition of the grease, and increase the content of main flavor substances such as pyrazines, alcohols and phenols, and the sensory functions such as flavor and color of the grease more meet the requirements of consumers for innovative products. Fermented dregs can be further processed to produce byproducts like functional polypeptides, so that sustainable green development is realized.

Abstract: A method of extracting an essential oil from plant matter, starting with providing plant matter to an interior of an extraction vessel, wherein the plant matter includes at least one essential oil. Next, at least one vacuum pump is used to reduce the pressure within the interior of the extraction vessel with the plant matter therein to an absolute pressure of less than 1.0 mm Hg absolute pressure. Microwave energy is applied to the plant matter while the interior of the extraction vessel is under the reduced pressure, thereby forming a vapor including at least a portion of the essential oil. The vapor is directed from the extraction vessel to at least one condenser vessel. Finally, the vapor is condensed to a liquid state such that the vapor includes at least a portion of the essential oil, by utilizing the at least one condenser vessel.
