    摘要: A radio base station does not broadcast service information without a request from a mobile radio terminal. When a mobile radio enters or approaches a coverage area of the base station, it transmits a service information request in or near the radio coverage area. The service information is associated with the radio coverage area. When the base station receives the request for service information from the mobile radio, the base station then selectively transmits the service information to the mobile radio, either immediately or after some exchange between the mobile radio and the base station. The service information allows the mobile radio to determine whether the mobile terminal is permitted to obtain service from the radio base station. The base station does not usually broadcast service information in the radio coverage area independently of a request from a mobile radio thereby conserving resources and reducing interference.

In one embodiment, a retransmission method includes: receiving, at a protocol layer in a receiver, a data block transmitted from a protocol layer in a transmitter; determining that it is not possible to decode the data block; determining that it is not probable that the data block can be decoded; signaling, from the protocol layer in the receiver, to the protocol layer in the transmitter first feedback information indicating that the data block was received; and signaling, from the protocol layer in the receiver, to the protocol layer in the transmitter second feedback information including information related to the reception time of the data block and indicating that the data block is aborted.

The method in the network node involves receiving information, from the UORN, indicating a monitored UE for which a condition is fulfilled. The condition is related to a relation, in terms of performance, between a direct uplink communication from the UE to the network node, and a potential uplink communication relayed via the UORN. If the UE is to be relayed, the method further comprises indicating, to the UORN, that the UE will be relayed via the UORN; and further comprises: adjusting uplink link adaptation of the UE based on the received information.

    摘要: A radio network provides centralized load control in order to control uplink interference in a cell while at the same time permitting adaptation to fast channel variations. The radio network sends to a mobile terminal a percentage of time that the mobile terminal may transmit over a radio channel in the uplink direction to the radio network. The mobile determines a current or future condition of the radio channel and restricts uplink transmissions based on the received percentage and the radio channel condition. Transmissions are restricted to times when the current or future condition is favorable up to the percentage amount. Channel condition favorability may be determined by the mobile station, in one example embodiment, by comparing the radio channel condition to an average condition of the channel, such as a local or moving average channel condition. Also in an example embodiment, the mobile may determine a current or future channel condition using transmit power control commands received from the radio network.
