    摘要: In transmission of paging information from a mobile network to a terminal device (200), the terminal device applies a discontinuous reception cycle to enter a sleep mode. Further, the terminal device determines an advance wakeup time (AW) for leaving the sleep mode. The advance wakeup time (AW) is advanced by an advancement time interval (ΔA) with respect to a start of an active time of the discontinuous reception cycle. At the determined advance wakeup time (AW), the terminal device leaves the sleep mode and starts monitoring the downlink control channel with respect to paging configuration information transmitted by the mobile network. The paging configuration information defines a paging occasion for transmission of the paging information. On the basis of the paging configuration information, the terminal device monitors the paging occasion to receive the paging information from the mobile network.

    摘要: In data transmission between a mobile network and a terminal device an uplink control channel resource is allocated to the terminal device and to at least one further terminal device. Further, a shared identifier is assigned to both the terminal device and the at least one further terminal device. Using the allocated uplink control channel resource, the mobile network receives a scheduling request from the terminal device. In response to receiving the scheduling request, the mobile network sends an uplink grant. The uplink grant is addressed by the shared identifier to the terminal device and to the at least one further terminal device. Further, the mobile network receives uplink data from the terminal device, which is accomplished on uplink resources indicated by the uplink grant.

    摘要: The invention relates to handover of a mobile station (12) from a source cell (C1) to a target cell (C2) in a wireless communication network (10, 11). According to the invention communication improving data in relation to communication between the source cell and the mobile station (12) is collected by a communication improving node (14) prior to handover and communication improving physical layer data being at least based on said collected communication improving data is transferred to a device (41) handling communication between the target cell and the mobile station. The communication handling device then uses the communication improving physical layer data to improve the quality of the initial communication between the mobile station and the target cell after handover to the target cell.

    摘要: A method for performing link adaptation in association with scheduling a data channel for a cell in a base station of a cellular communication system, and an arrangement, suitable for performing such a method. The link adaptation method has link adaptation optimization purpose which is achieved by updating a link adaptation parameter on the basis of the load on the data channel and on the basis of the load of a control channel controlling the data channel in the cell. The method obtains a better trade-off between the spectral efficiency and the delay, due to re-transmissions.
