    摘要: A general global gateway (GGG) internetworks between a first network and a second network so that a mobile station having a subscription in a first network can roam into a second network and be authenticated to use the second network. The GGG obtains authentication parameters from the mobile station and determines whether the authentication parameters satisfy GGG authentication criteria. If it does, then the GGG accesses the first network and stores authentication information from the first network for subsequent accesses to the first network by the mobile station.

    摘要: A method of using a ciphering key in a mobile station (18) from a first base station (12) in a first cellular communications system controlled by a first mobile switching control (10) station to a second base station in a second, different cellular system controlled by a second mobile switching control station is described. The method comprises generating for the mobile station a cipher key for use by the mobile station during communication in the second cellular communications system. The cipher key is generated by the mobile station from a private key assigned to the mobile station for the second cellular communications system and from a random number generated by the second cellular communications system. The cipher key is then communicated to the first mobile system and a private long code is generated for use by the mobile station during communication in the first cellular communications system.

    摘要: A system for reducing in-phase and quadrature-phase (I/Q) impairments includes first, second, third, and fourth programmable registers for storing respective first, second, third, and fourth values, first and second finite impulse response (FIR) filters having respective first and second sets of filter taps, and first and second adders. The first FIR filter receives an I input signal and generates first and second intermediate output signals based on the first and second values for I and Q channels, respectively. The second FIR filter receives a Q input signal and generates third and fourth intermediate output signals based on the third and fourth values for the I and Q channels, respectively. The first and second adders receive the first and second, and the third and fourth intermediate output signals, respectively, and generate compensated I and Q output signals for the I and Q channels.

    摘要: Systems and methodologies are described that facilitate mitigating a hidden node condition in a wireless mesh network wherein nodes utilize a request-to-send/clear-to-send (RTS/CTS) protocol in conjunction with an asynchronous hybrid automatic repeat request protocol. For instance, a node may contend for a set of subcarriers by sending an RTS signal over the desired subcarriers, and may receive a CTS signal over the contended subcarriers, wherein the CTS signal indicates which subcarriers the node may transmit data over. If another node has won the contention for a particular subcarrier, requesting node may adjust a power level at which it transmits an RTS or a data packet in order to permit the requesting node to utilize the subcarrier without interfering with the winning node.

    摘要: The disclosure is directed to methods and apparatuses for seamless and efficient wireless handoffs of an access terminal between access points in a communication network. The access points include memory configured to buffer packets received from a network for the access terminal, a processor configured to queue one of the packets for over the air transmission to the access terminal and fragment the data in the queued packet into multiple frames, and a transmitter configured to transmit the framed data over the air to the access terminal. The processor is further configured to maintain an indicator relating to the portion of the data in the queued packet that remains to be transmitted.
