    摘要: An information handling system (IHS) includes a chassis. A processor is located in the chassis. A memory is located in the chassis and coupled to the processor. A disk drive is located in the chassis and coupled to the processor. An accelerometer is located in the chassis. A controller is located in the chassis and coupled to the accelerometer. The controller is operable, in response to a wake indicator signal associated with an IHS wake operation, to use the accelerometer to determine that the movement of the IHS exceeds a threshold and, in response, prevent the IHS wake operation such that operation of the disk drive is not initiated.

A support surface is moveably coupled to the base, wherein the support surface is operable to move relative to the base in order to create a sudden acceleration event. At least one vacuum device is located on the support surface and operable to couple a sudden acceleration test specimen to the support surface. A sudden acceleration test specimen such as, for example, an information handling system, may be coupled to the support surface for sudden acceleration testing by providing a vacuum between the sudden acceleration test specimen and the vacuum device.
