摘要: A telecom connectivity service provider (TCSP) and a method for allocating an infrastructure resource to a virtual network operator (VNO). A TCSP control element sends to a downstream control element, a request for a portion of the infrastructure to be allocated to the TCSP by an infrastructure provider (InP) and receives a response from the downstream control element providing access to and control of the allocated infrastructure. The TCSP control element can pool the allocated infrastructure with other resources allocated to the TCSP and/or communicate with an upstream control element for providing access to and control of the allocated infrastructure to the VNO. The downstream control element is a local InP control element or a downstream TCSP control element. The upstream control element is a VNO control element or an upstream TCSP control element.

摘要: Embodiments of the disclosure provide methods and systems for sidelink resource allocation in user equipment (UE) groups. The method includes, receiving, by a UE, from a radio access network (RAN) node, a first resource configuration message including configuration information for sidelink resources indicated by a sidelink resource grant and conditions for using sidelink resources of the sidelink resource grant. The method further includes receiving, from a second UE of the UE group, a second sidelink resource configuration message, the second sidelink resource configuration message including an activation indicator to activate at least a portion of the sidelink resources indicated by the sidelink resource grant. The method further includes determining the sidelink resources to be used for sidelink transmissions by combining the first and second sidelink resource configuration messages. The method further includes using the determined sidelink resources for data transmissions. Other embodiments of the disclosure provide for a method of performing UE group handover (HO), by a UE.

摘要: Implementations of a registration procedure are described. The registration procedure includes a Access and Mobility Function (AMF) selection procedure and a Session Management Function (SMF) selection procedure. The AMF receives a Non-Access Stratum (NAS) registration request pertaining a User Equipment (UE). At least partially in response to the registration request: the AMF registers the UE on the network; and establishes a Protocol Data Unit (PDU) session for the UE. The AMF transmits a registration response to the UE. An access node of the network receives a Radio Resource Control (RRC) registration request from a User Equipment (UE). At least partially in response to the registration request: The access node selects an AMF, and forwards a corresponding Non-Access Stratum (NAS) registration request to the selected AMF. The NAS registration request includes PDU session request information pertaining to the UE.

摘要: The present invention provides a system and method for ultra reliable low latency communication (URLLC) which can be achieved by redundant transmission with two or more links at one or more RAN nodes. In order to achieve URLLC communication, methods supporting the PDCP packet duplication and/or higher layer packet duplication are applied to various RAN architectures such as CA architecture, DC based architecture with one connection to the core network (CN), DC based architecture with two or more connections to the CN, CA and DC combined architecture, and CU/DU split architecture.

摘要: There is provided a method and apparatus for data transmission using shared radio bearer in order to simplify the operation of RAN access node by reducing signalling overhead related to mobility and simplifying per UE RBs setup/release operation. Using the shared radio bearer, UE mobility operation becomes transparent to access node (e.g. edge cell) and to UE. There is also provided a method and apparatus for simplifying the operation of UE for RBs setup/release and to make the Layer 2 (L2) operation independent from mobility (e.g. independent from handover).

摘要: There is provided a method and system for management of Machine Type Communication (MTC) events. The system and method enables the detection of a state of the MTC event, correlating the state of MTC event with a Virtual Network Function (VNF) state of a VNF configured to mitigate the MTC event and transitioning the VNF to the VNF state which correlates with the MTC state. In this manner, the VNF can be in a configured and active state in advance of the MTC event reaching a critical state, thereby enabling mitigation of the MTC event prior to reaching the critical state.
