摘要： A recording apparatus causes an ink sheet coated with thermoplastic ink to come into contact with an intermediate transfer medium having its outer surface composed of a silicone elastomer film, and then causes a thermal-image formation head to selectively heat the ink in contact with the intermediate transfer medium so that the ink can selectively adhere to the intermediate transfer medium. A complete ink image is formed on a recording paper by stripping off the ink sheet from the intermediate transfer medium while the temperature of the heated ink still remains above the melting point or softening point. These sequential processes are repeatedly executed for plural color inks in the order to form a multi-color ink image on the intermediate transfer medium before transferring the multicolor ink image onto the recording paper.

摘要： A resistive ribbon thermal transfer printing apparatus produces two kinds of electric pulses for selectively energizing recording electrodes of a printing head according to a data to be printed. A first electric pulse (normal pulse) is applied to a recording electrode which is to be energized and is disposed between two recording electrodes which are to be energized. A second electric pulse (specific pulse) is smaller in energy than the normal pulse and is applied to a recording electrode which is to be energized and is not disposed between two recording electrodes which are to be energized. This selective application of the two kinds of pulses allows the size of the printed dots to become uniform.

摘要： An image read apparatus for reading an image on a document which includes a reciprocatively movable document placing plate for placing thereon the document, a document placing plate driving mechanism for driving the document placing plate and an image reader for reading the image information on the document. The document placing plate is movable reciprocatively between a first position where the document placing plate is housed completely in the image read apparatus and a second position where the document placing plate projects outwardly from the image read apparatus to thereby enable the document to be placed thereon. The image read apparatus sequentially reads the image information on the document between each sequential movement of the document placing plate from the second position to the first position. Preferably, a document holding member such as a flexible sheet or an endless belt is provided for pressing the document onto the document placing plate within the image read apparatus.

摘要： A thermal recording apparatus comprises a thermal recording head supported for movement right towards and away from an intermediate transfer drum. The intermediate transfer drum has a peripheral surface formed with an ink transfer layer of silicone rubber and is supported to be rotated in one direction successively past a recording station at which the thermal recording head is positioned and a transfer station at which an inked image transported by the intermediate transfer drum is transferred onto a recording paper. A heating lamp is installed coaxially inside the intermediate transfer drum for heating the ink transfer layer to a predetermined unique temperature so that the inked image formed on the intermediate transfer drum at the recording station can be transferred onto the recording paper at the transfer station to complete a recording of an image on the recording paper.

摘要： A bet unit provides an intermediate transfer belt where primary transfer is performed at a part stretching between a drive roller and a tension roller, and a cleaner roller separated from and brought into contact with a part of the intermediate transfer belt stretching between an opposed roller and the drive roller in the downstream side of the opposed roller. The belt unit is detachably attachable to the body with the opposed roller on the operator's side. The tangential line of the opposed roller is substantially vertical at a secondary transfer position. The cleaner roller is disposed in a range enclosed by the intermediate transfer belt, the tangential line of the drive roller parallel to the common tangential line of the peripheries of the tension roller and the opposed roller, and the vertical tangential line of the secondary transfer side of the opposed roller.
