    摘要: A liquid crystal display device capable of significantly suppressing an after image is provided. The liquid crystal display device contains substrates arranged as opposed to each other through a liquid crystal; a pixel electrode and a counter electrode for generating an electric field between the pixel electrode and the counter electrode, provided on a pixel region on a surface on a side of the liquid crystal of one of the substrates; and a charge transporting layer provided to cover the pixel electrode and the counter electrode, in which the pixel electrode and the counter electrode are formed in the same layer on one plane, and the liquid crystal has a resistivity of less than 1×1013 Ω·cm.
