    摘要: There are provided a barcode reader for reading an article code in a barcode form from an article tag, and an RFID tag reader for reading a shelf code from a shelf tag in a non-contact wireless manner. The article code read by the barcode reader is stored in an article code memory, and the shelf code read by the RFID tag reader is stored in a shelf code memory. There are also provided an information processing unit, a control unit and a transmission unit. The information processing unit is controlled by the control unit to process the article code and the shelf code as one set of information for article management. Then, the transmission unit transmits the processed information to a personal computer.

    摘要: A radio communication apparatus sends a signal for assigning a predetermined number of slots to one or more response devices. The response devices individually select one slot, and transmit own specific identification information in that slot. The radio communication apparatus has an all slot number counter and an empty slot number counter. The all slot number counter counts the number of all slots received within a slot counting period. The empty slot number counter counts empty slots among those received within the slot counting period. The radio communication apparatus calculates an estimated number of unread response devices whose identification information is not yet read, from the counted values of each counter and the number of slots at the present time. And, based on the estimated number of unread response devices, the radio communication apparatus determines the number of slots to be assigned next.

    摘要: There are provided a barcode reader for reading an article code in a barcode form from an article tag, and an RFID tag reader for reading a shelf code from a shelf tag in a non-contact wireless manner.     摘要: A quadrature demodulation device effectively utilizes the result of quadrature detection in order to improve demodulation efficiency. The quadrature modulation device includes a quadrature detector DT which performs quadrature detection on a reception signal obtained by receiving a radio wave from a radio frequency identification tag, to generate an in-phase signal and a quadrature-phase signal, and a demodulation circuit DM which detects a preamble of a particular transition pattern in at least one of the in-phase signal and the quadrature-phase signal and which decodes the at least one of the in-phase signal and the quadrature-phase signal to obtain data succeeding the preamble, the demodulation circuit DM further performing error detection on a decoding result to check for errors.

    摘要: According to one embodiment, a radio communication apparatus includes a transmitting and receiving section, a preamble detecting section, a data detecting section, and a response-time setting section. The transmitting and receiving section transmits an inquiry signal to a radio tag and receives a response signal returned from the radio tag. The preamble detecting section detects, within a period set with reference to transmission timing of the inquiry signal, a preamble included in the response signal returned by the radio tag that receives the inquiry signal. The data detecting section detects, when the preamble is detected, data included in the response signal. The response-time setting section sets, according to a parameter peculiar to the apparatus, a response time from the reception of the response signal from the radio tag until the transmission of the next inquiry signal to the radio tag by the transmitting and receiving section.
