摘要： A projection type display device, in which efficient cooling is performed in a remarkably silent manner, includes: a light source unit; an optical unit for modulating illumination light output from the light source unit based on input image information; two power source sections and; a box for housing the optical unit, the light source unit and the power source sections; and a cover member for entirely covering at least an upper surface of the box, wherein an outlet for externally exhausting air in the box by using axial fans is provided only on a bottom side of the box. Liquid crystal panels that are held by the optical unit frame absorb the illumination light from the light source unit and thus have different increased temperatures. Cooling air blown through an outlet of a sirocco fan that is directly connected to the optical unit frame is divided by a cooling air reservoir and a distribution sheet into predetermined air quantities in accordance with the temperatures of the liquid crystal panels so that the quantities of air obtained by the division are directly sent to the liquid crystal panels.

摘要： A glasses-type shutter holder may include left and right temple parts connected respectively to left and right frame end parts of frame. The left and right temple parts may be foldable respectively with respect to the left and right frame end parts in accordance with movement, for each frame end part and temple part pair, of a contact position at which a movement part provided with one of the temple part and the frame end part of the pair is in contact with a contact part of the other of the temple part and the frame end part of the pair. For each of the pairs, the contact part is in contact with the movement part when the temple part is unfolded to a maximum degree, and a maximum degree of opening of the temple part is varied in accordance with the movement of the movable part.

摘要： An armor cabinet of a projection type display unit includes a base cabinet on which main component parts are mounted, and a top cover made from sheet metal which is mounted so as to cover the base cabinet, wherein a rear face portion composed of the top cover is formed in the shape of a curved surface being laid-down U-shaped in side view. At the time of carrying the projection type display unit, the rear face portion in the U-shaped curved surface shape is just fitted to the palm on an ergonomic basis, and the grip can range to the fingertips, so that the rear face portion can be gripped assuredly and securely even with one hand. On the back side of the top cover, bosses are integrally formed by use of a resin which is a different material from the sheet metal of the top cover, and the base cabinet and the top cover are fixed by fastening screws to the bosses from the base cabinet side.

摘要： An image processing apparatus includes a central-portion extracting unit, a classifying unit and a determining unit. The central-portion extracting unit extracts edges from an image area and extracts a plurality of central portions of areas each of which is sandwiched between the edges. The classifying unit groups the central portions by classifying adjacent central portions that have no edge therebetween into a single group. The determining unit determines an area of finger, the area of finger being surrounded by the central portions classified into a group by the classifying unit and peripheral edges of the central portion, the area of finger being an area where a ratio of a luminance gradient in a short side direction to a luminance gradient in a long side direction is within a predetermined threshold.
