The input system having a coordinate input device which displays an organizational chart expressing the relationship of a plurality of functions, and registers the coordinates of a point when indicated on the organizational chart, a memory for storing a data table including the plurality of functions, a plurality of key domains which define the coordinate boundary of each function, and related data which defines the relationship between the plurality of functions as expressed on said organizational chart, and a controller which determines which functions have been selected when a point is indicated on the coordinate input means, and sequentially effects the execution of the selected functions and the functions related to the selected functions.

摘要： A single key input system for an apparatus such as a facsimile machine having a plurality of operations. A set sequence of functions each of which would normally require the entering of a separate key may be executed by a single key. A coordinate input unit has operator designatable areas. The set sequence of operations is programmed into the apparatus and executed by indicating a designated area. Therefore, the operator can both create a set sequence of functions which are executable through a single key and can designate the location of that key.

摘要： A filing system scans original documents and converts the information on the documents into picture information which is then condensed and stored in a file storage block. If an index for the files is specified, an index of the picture information is stored in a file image memory having a plurality of fixed memory areas. Coordinates of an area of the original document enclosing the picture information on the original document can be specified, and tables in memory indicate the correspondence between specified areas, the corresponding fixed memory areas in the file image memory, and the addresses of the corresponding stored files. To retrieve the files, an operator can either press certain areas on a document with a stylus pen, provide an identifier of the files, or place marks on an index document prepared by the filing system.

摘要： An apparatus for producing and utilizing sheets of manuals containing data corresponding to operating procedures for electronic devices. Data related to an electronic device is input into the production portion and stored in the apparatus. Relevant area data and character code strings are converted to frame and image data, which is combined and printed onto a manual sheet. The printed data, which corresponds to the desired operating procedure, can then be read into the utilization portion of the device. The data is matched with corresponding function data, which is read out to operate the electronic device in accordance with the operating procedures.
